Summary: This book is the best thing that ever happened to me!
Review: This book helped me understand my own body better than ever. I am less anxious about many things. The book is extremely well written and enjoyable to read. I read it cover to cover in one day! We have been trying to conceive for 1 1/2 years and I am confident this book will help us and will also help me feel more confident at the doctor's office.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It's a must read for anyone with irregular cycles!
Review: I have been trying to conceive my 2nd child for over a year, and I was advised to read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". I thought I knew a lot about my fertility until I read the book cover to cover. I now have even more information regarding how to detect ovulation, even with my irregular cycles. It gives me and my husband new found hope in conceiving our 2nd child.

Summary: It works!
Review: This book was recommended to me by a friend who knew I had been trying to get pregnant for almost nine months. Though I was fairly knowledgeable about my body and cycles, the specificity and clarity of the information in this book REALLY helped! For example, I found out I was taking my temperature wrong, because it's really important to do it the instant you wake up, not after you get up, go to the bathroom, etc. And the clear, practical instructions on charting your cycle really helped me zero in on which things were important. And, bingo, in my first month of charting we were able to time things right, and I conceived! Best of all, I knew I was pregnant even before I was "late," again due to the charting. Now I'm happily 3 months pregnant.

Highly, highly recommended. The tone is simple but not simplistic, the anecdotes are great, and the info is incomparable.

Summary: Every woman should have this book
Review: It is an excellent book that should be taught to girls in schools. I suggest that every woman should read this book before going to the gynecologist.

Nevertheless, it has one negative aspect which is mentioning the same subjects in different sections in the book. So if I want to reference a subject I will have to scan the whole book to get all the scattered information mentioned about this subject in the book.

Summary: This is "the" book to read if you are trying to get pregnant
Review: This book is the best book to read if you are trying to get pregnant, or if you are not trying to get pregnant. It contains information in it that you will not hear from your doctor, information that you don't even know about. After reading this book, it all made so much sense to me, and I felt like I understood so much more about pinpointing ovulation. I have recommended this book to so many friends and family and would recommend it to women who have given up all hope, even the women who have been to fertility doctors for years. Don't give up until you read this book. It was the answer to my prayers.

Summary: Excellent, and incredibly clear!
Review: This is the *only* clear explanation I have ever read of the Fertility Awareness Method of managing your fertility--and I have read them all! An excellent resource, and one every woman should own--and follow!

Summary: Excellent book for understanding your individual cycle
Review: My husband and I have been trying unsuccessfully to conceive for five years. I recently read Toni Wechsler's book and, although I don't know if I'll ever conceive, I now feel more educated and prepared to understand my own body than I ever have! I only wish I knew five years ago what I know now as a result of this exciting and informative book. My main reaction in reading this book was "OH! Why didn't my doctor ever tell me this?"

Summary: I wish I had learned this in school!
Review: Learning about my body has always been interesting. When I began to TTC, I also became more and more frustrated about the outlook of having a baby. After reading this book I became knowledgeable and hopeful again. As an educator it would be fantastic if every female and male could read and discuss this book. If I could rate this book with 10 stars, I would.

Summary: Absolutely amazing
Review: Before I read this book I was so uninformed. It makes you wonder why its not required reading during puberty!

Summary: A wealth of information.
Review: First a big THANK YOU to Toni and to the women at the Stork Site who recommended this book to me. I learned more about my body in the day it took me to voraciously read this book than I had in the previous 28 years of my life. Needless to say, my first chart followed exactly what Toni said would happen, and now, on my second chart, my husband and I are going to try to get pregnant. Armed with Toni's exceptional information, we hope to succeed. If we don't, we will be well on our way to knowing why not. I recommend this book to any woman wanting to demystify her cycle for whatever reason. I also recommend it to their partners - the insights into what happens (or doesn't) to women each month is invaluable. My husband finds my chart fascinating. Thanks again, and here's to successful fertilization!
