Rating: 3 stars
Summary: not quite right
Review: am a little sceptical about the stories highlighted in the book - they don't seem real to me. Otherwise, it's an excellent read, but I am not pregnant yet.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Amazingly informative and well-written
Review: Weschler's book is fantastic. I"m 36 and bought it because I wanted to learn everything I could in order to get pregnant as soon as possible. Her explanations of the workings of women's reproductive systems are incredibly well-organized and straightforwardly written. She also employs useful graphics, examples, and personal stories to demonstrate her information. I learned so much that I never knew and would recommend it to anyone who is either trying to achieve or avoid pregnancy or just is interested in learning about their body and health. The book helped me to understand my cycles as I never had before, and I got pregnant the first month we tried (the second month of using FAM).

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent information, but beware the testimonials
Review: For women who want to learn to chart their cycles, this book offers lots of detail on what varous signs mean, and that's great. But the tales about how fast everyone gets pregnant can be discouraging. It's worth remembering that even if you time it right, you only have a one in three or four chance of conceiving each cycle; I wish TW mentioned that.

Summary: outstanding!- demystifies the ovulatory cycle
Review: I wish I would have read this book a year ago. Toni Weschler very matter of factly and interestingly gives a step by step guide to understanding the ovulatory cycle, with a wealth of additional information, to take all the guesswork out of knowing what the "right time" is for maximizing the chances of getting pregnant or not getting pregnant, as the case may be. I really loved this book, and continue to refer back to it as I chart what is "normal" for me.

Summary: WE'RE FINALLY PREGNANT!
Review: This book is excellent! It is interesting and easy to understand. I became pregnant in only my second month of charting. A friend became pregnant after two months, and a co-worker after only one month! Want to start a family? Be sure, because this book will get you there! Thank you so much!

Summary: If you want to understand your body - read this book!
Review: I consider myself to be very in touch with my body. But this book gave me information I never knew about my body and how it works! My husband and I were talking about having a baby so we bought this book. Now - two months later we're expecting! I'd recommend it to any woman who wishes to learn more about her body.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: In a word -- INCREDIBLE!
Review: I bought this book for its section on pregnancy achievement and devoured it at one sitting. It's very well-written and contains comprehensive, useful information -- not just about pregnancy achievement, but about all aspects of women's reproductive health -- delivered in a warm, caring tone.

(I bypassed a slew of similar-sounding titles because the other authors' attitudes were either patronizing or so clinical as to be downright useless for practical application.)

The realization that I lived 35 years without knowing the information in this book made me absolutely *furious*. I can only hope Toni's work will spark a worldwide revolution in self-care.

Summary: My body explained! I can't believe no one taught us this!
Review: I am the daughter of an obgyn and I thought I was pretty well versed on my body and my cycles. How wrong I was! This book cleared up so many myths and just plain mistakes that I (and many women) believe about their own bodies. I quit taking the pill after my wedding and have successfully avoided getting pregnant using the FAM for 6 months, it was EASY. Now we are ready to try to conceive and feel confident in our knowledge of how to maximize our chances of getting pregnant. It also is especially good for women with irregular cycles. My best friend is irregular and got this book (and recommended it to me) and is now pregnant after only 3 ovulatory cylces. Every woman NEEDS to take possession of the knowledge their bodies; I wish I had known all of this years ago. I have recommeded that my mother tell her patients about this book also. My husband also appreciates the knowledge and has a clear understanding of my body. Thank you!!!!!!! My daughter will understand her body, now that I do.

Summary: I love this book
Review: I am a well educated woman, but I didn't know half of what is in this book. I has helped me enormously, not only in my quest to become pregnant, but also in knowing about my own body. I have nearly memorized this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Hooray! Reliable natural birth control at last!
Review: This book's amazingly clear text demistifys the female reproductive cycle. I loved it! Anyone looking for an alternative birth control strategy or curious about really understanding female fertility will be excited to read this book cover to cover! Schools should teach this information!!! Parents should pass it on!!!
