Summary: Don't Believe the Hype..
Review: Although the book is very informative in some aspects, it has one major flaw that all books in this category seem to experience. It generalizes far too much. For example, the book leads you to believe you will only get pregnant if you have stretchy EWCM, well, many people who never have that DO get pregnant. The book criticizes others for being too general, has the same flaw. Also, do NOT think this is a "get pregnant quick" scheme, it's not.

Summary: It Works!
Review: This book was a great help. We were able to conceive the first month I used these methods. Unfortunately, I did miscarry at 5 weeks, but will be using the FAM method as before, as soon as we are able to try again.

Summary: Helped me achieve pregnancy after miscarriages
Review: Two years ago this book, combined with A Woman Doctor's Guide to Miscarriage by Lynn Friedman, helped me carry my baby to term. I had been having short cycles prior to getting pregnant after my first child and did not know why until I read this book after my second miscarriage. Using her methods and information, I determined that I probably had low progesterone. As for treatment, the Friedman book suggested that progesterone cream was too hard to use since it is only effective when used 48 hours after ovualtion/conception, which most people can't determine. Thanks to Weschler's book, however, I had the confidence to tell my doctor that I would know when I was about to ovulate and when it was complete, so he gave me the go ahead to try the cream. Voila! A beautiful baby girl! I would never have found both of these books if not for Amazon where I did my research and read the recommendations of others. I have been meaning to write this review for ages! Thanks to Toni Weschler, Lynn Friedman, and Amazon!

Summary: Stop shopping-buy this book!
Review: Tired of taking advice from friends and family on how to get pregnant and wondering why everyones "day 14 ovulation" theory wasnt working for me- I bought this wonderful fact-filled, fascinating, easy to read book. The next month I got pregnant, and am expecting my 1st child in 6 mos. TRUST ME, THIS BOOK IS THE BEST TO BUY IF YOU ARE TIRED OF "TRYING!" Or if you just want to understand the female body and how it really works. I'm living proof!

Summary: What Every Female Should Know
Review: BUY THIS BOOK! Why isn't this basic information taught to all adolescent girls? So many needless trips to the GYN because of fear that something is wrong, so many months worrying about infertility when one doesn't even understand exactly how it all works--what time and energy have been wasted!

Summary: What a learning experience
Review: This was a great book. Toni covered just about every aspect of the womens reproductive system. I took a Human Sexuality class in college but this book provided more detail and overall understanding on how things works. I was one of the many women who thought you could not control "mother nature". I learned that by charting the physical changes you can take control. This book provides information on fertility treatment, men fertility and menopause. The one word review would be WOW!.

Summary: This book will save you....
Review: time, money and worry! The first two months (Wasted Time) we tried to conceive, on our own, I used 9 home pregnancy tests(wasted money), and drove my husband and myself nuts worrying from the middle of my cycle until my period started (wasted worry!)

Then I heard about this book.

We got pregnant the first month following her directions and now we have a 1 yr old to show for it.

I recommend that this book to every woman who is sexually active. High School Biology just doesn't give you the best information about the reproductive cycle!

Summary: Irregular periods? Save valuable time, read this book NOW!
Review: If your cycles are irregular, read this book NOW. I went to my gynecologist a FULL YEAR before I wanted to start trying for pregnancy (because I'm older and wanted to speed things up when the time came), said: What do I read/do now to get ready because I'm very irregular and my cycles are unpredictable? She talked about genetic compatability screenings, but never mentioned cervical fluid or going off the pill right away to determine what my non-pill-controlled cycles were like. She sent me off to "try for 6 cycles" (which in my case took nearly a year due to long cycles during which, I now know, thanks to Toni's wonderful book, I wasn't even ovulating!) What a waste of a 35-year-old woman's precious time! I haven't conceived instantaneously like many of the other woman testifying here, but I'm confident I'm now finally truly on my way. Even though there are almost 200 reviews posted about this book at the time of this writing, I felt I must add my comments (and endorsement), in the hopes they will push one more woman to order this book NOW and truly get educated about our body's awe-inspiring ability to tell us what we need to know to get pregnant.

Summary: Taking charge of your fertility
Review: I wrote in a few months ago. My husband and I had just starting charting after seven months of trying. We got pregnant the second month of charting, nine months after we started trying. I give most the credit to this book, I also tried the Robitusin that Toni suggested, I guess it worked! We are expecting in August 2000.
