Summary: Extemely Informative
Review: When my husband and I decided to conceive our first child, I wanted to do some reseach on conceiving and pregnancy. My girlfriend (who is an RN) kept telling me, every woman ovulates on day 14. Make sure you try on that day. Well, as with everything else in my life, I did some research on conceiving and pregnancy. I was introduced to taking my daily temperature, but I wasn't understanding what that was for. So, someone suggested the TCOYF book. I came off of birth control in Sept. after 6 years, and I received my book at the end of Oct. After reading this book, I came away with such an enlightened feeling. Just to know and understand so much about the female body was enough for me. I have a friend that took her 1 year to conceive and another friend took 8 years. It took me 2 times!! I am due to deliver on Sept. 1.!! Now that I found out that my RN friend has been trying since June, I am going to tell her to read this book.

Summary: Very effective, highly informative
Review: Thanks to this book, I got pregnant on our first attempt -- and that was at age 32 and after 12 years on the Pill. I wish I had read it when I was younger. I felt so much more informed about my own body after reading it. This book should be required reading for every woman beginning at puberty. Highly recommended, whether you are trying to conceive, are trying NOT to conceive, or just want to know more about a woman's body during the childbearing years and beyond.

Summary: Very informative and in layman's terms
Review: Excellent book. It shows you very detailed information on a woman's anatomy and menstrual cycle, how to chart and interprete your basal temperature readings, how to maximimize or prevent pregnancy, and also the types of fertility drugs and their advantages and disadvantages. I charted my basal temperature and learned that I have many anovulatory cycles. Thus, I was able to get professional help by showing the doctor my temperature charts. I highly recommend it to all women regardless whether you are trying to get pregnant. I wished that I had known about this book earlier so that I could start charting sooner.

Summary: If you are obessesd with getting pregnant.....
Review: like I was, you HAVE to buy this book and follow the advice in it. I am one of the most impatient people I know and I wanted to get pregnant right away - the first month I followed the FAM method, I was pregnant and now I am the mother of a beautiful 16 month old girl. I can't say enough great things about this book. I kept my basal body temp on the chart in the back of the book and I was able to tell that I was pregnant before I got a positive on my pregnancy test. The book also addresses potential feritlity problems and gives sound advice for overcoming them. I've recommended it to several friends who also got pregnant right away with FAM. Well-worth the money.

Summary: ALL women should read this book!
Review: My husband and I are contemplating getting pregnant for the first time, and I decided to read this book in order to start right. I knew almost nothing about the book at the time, but now that I've read it and have started charting my cycle, I feel so much more in control of my body. Although I had always had a good understanding (I thought) of my cycle, this book gave me new insight on the natural processes that are involved, and how to "read" my own body. I just went off the pill and feel like I have been set free. The best part is that my husband helps me to chart and is able to understand my body better as well. I hope to never have to use the pill again. Also, this book is great for those who are interested in alternatives to birth control for religious reasons or for any other reason - if you are uncomfortable with "Natural Family Planning" in a religious context, there is no better book to buy than this one. This book is a must-read for all women - regardless of age or religious views!

Summary: Fantastic book for those trying to conceive
Review: My husband and I had been married for 2 years when we decided to start our family. I was 28 and he was 30 and we didn't feel like "just seeing what would happen" for a few months. My doctor told me to try every other day for days 12 to 18 if I really wanted to "try". I went online and found this book, bought it based on Amazon reviews, and haven't looked back since. I consider myself to be well educated, but I found that I was absolutely clueless when it came to my cycles. I had been on the pill for 10 years and that concerned me too. I used this book and am now pregnant (it took four months). Because of charting, I know that I ovulated on day 24 (I have very long cycles). If I had only listened to my doctor, I would not be pregnant right now. I highly recommend this book to anyone who really wants to "try" to get pregnant.

Summary: THE Fertility handbook...period.
Review: About a year ago my husband and I began trying for our second child, we thought it would be easy, but we were wrong. Finally I turned to the internet for information and help. I stubled across Fertily Friend Online, and amazing charting and support site. On this site I soon realised that in less than 24 hours no less than 7 people had reccomened this book. I ordered the book online, then while I waited for it (all of 2 days) I did more research. I soon discovered that on just about any site about TTC I went to, this was the #1 book period! I must admit that I have not finished it yet (I have a 2 year old, my birth control.)But I have learned more than I knew possible about my body. I know exactly what is going on, I never ever have that "Am I late or not?" feeling going on. This book should be given to each and every girl as she becomes a woman, its a rite of passage to know this information. I am not pregnant yet (blame it on my husband) but I certainly know exactly what needs to be done now. Its not as simple as people are lead to believe, procreation (or lack there of) is a lot more than 28 day cycle myths, and women with cloned reproductive sysyems. Definatly read this book.

Summary: A better book is The Art of Natural Family Planning
Review: This book uses the concept of Natural Family Planning, but calls it a different name. It gives instruction on how to use the Natural Family Planning method but doesn't explain how this protects the sacredness of life. I highly suggest that you buy the book by Kippley titled Natural Family Planning instead. Kippley's book addresses the sacredness of human life and how that affects the way we treat our bodies. It is a great book for all couples.

Summary: I highly recommend this for all women planning a pregnancy!
Review: As an RN, I felt I knew enough to get pregnant on my own. However, I was using the rule most doctors use, which is to have sex on cycle day 14. Erroneously, most doctors (male) still believe in 28 day cycles for ALL women. This is just not so. We are all individuals with unique cycles. I feel this book is a "must-read" for all those trying to get pregnant. I would not recommend this for book for exclusively avoiding pregnancy however, unless an alternate means of avoidance is used, such as a condom. I have this book, have lent it to many girlfriends and plan to buy another copy for my sister who is considering planning a family. On many websites, this book is referred to as "The TTC (trying to conceive) bible." Need I say more?

Summary: Crazy awesome book!!!!
Review: This book just blew my mind! I am 26 and thought I knew pretty much every thing there is to know. But after reading the first few pages I got ticked that NOBODY EVER TOLD US THIS STUFF! It's just amazing what you can find out. I've been telling every girl I know - no matter if they are trying to get pregnant or not. Seriously, it's a shame that we weren't taught this in school! I first borrowed one from the library but am now buying my own. It's super easy to understand too. If you're a girl, get this book!! You won't be sorry!
