Summary: I would recommend this book to anyone trying to get pregnant
Review: This book was a big comfort while I was struggling with infertility. The first thing I noticed was that unlike other authors and medical professionals, Toni does not assume that everyone is alike. I got so tired of drs saying that I should be ovulating at day 14, when I obviously wasn't. The book was helpful in showing how to chart and describing the various tests. It was also the book that helped me to determine I was pregnant, based on the fertility signs described. There are lots of great examples of basal temperature charts. I have read it MANY times! It is a must have to those trying to get pregnant.

Summary: At 42, No doc has EVER explained things this well. Buy This!
Review: I have been seeing a fertility specialist for almost a year now to get pregnant and he has not explained my fertility, the signs to look for, nor the reasons why these things happen, to the depth that this book does.

I about fell off my chair identifying with the information that Toni describes in this book and I just never knew to look for it. I now understand what the additional signs of fertility are, why they happen and the sequence they happen in. I have been solely relying on my temperature and now I realize... maybe that's why I'm not pregnant. There's much more to look for and more accurate fertile timing than the temperature.

Toni, I hope to become one of the many helpful examples of successful couples who have achieved pregnancy that you have woven throughout this book to help us identify, understand and substantiate your information with.

BUY THIS BOOK!

Summary: Every Woman Alive Should Read This Book!
Review: Toni Weschler explains the uterine cycle in a way that is extremly easy to understand. After reading this book you will never have to guess what is going on with your cycle. I loved the easy to read explanations and the great stories. I recommend this book to every woman out there.

Summary: A must have for any woman!
Review: I bought this book after seeing the reviews on Amazon and it was so helpful in our attempt to get pregnant! We had been trying to conceive for about 8 months and we were getting frustrated and after reading the book and following the charts, I was pregnant in four months. I wish I had had this book sooner. Even if you're not trying to get pregnant, this book has so much information on the reproductive system - stuff they never teach you in school!

Summary: Taking Charge of Your Fertility
Review: Someone please make my doctor read this book! I too have been subjected to invasive testing and bogus diagnosis at the hands of male doctors unfamiliar with women's bodies. This book should be a must-read for all women - and their health care providers. I certainly hope it is within my daughter's lifetime that this knowledge becomes common-place. Thank you, Toni Weschler, for putting an easy to understand spin on biology and opening my eyes to the pattern my body follows. After reading this book I can identify the pattern with assuredness, not just with a vague instinct. I feel much more impowered to be able to achieve a pregnancy in the near future because the guess work has been eliminated regarding the ovulation timing factor. There seems to be something for women at all stages of their life in this book - be it achieving pregnancy, preventing it, pre and post-menopausal information and all the things in between that you wish your doctor could have/would have told you was normal in a woman's cycle. This book helps demystify what girlfriends whisper about.

Summary: What I Didn't Know
Review: I feel very lucky that a friend recommended this book to me. As I read it, I couldn't believe all the things I had never understood about how my body works. I read the book over a year ago and I still refer to it when I have questions. It is one of the best books I have ever read on women's fertility!

Summary: A "peace of mind" guide to fertility
Review: This book is an EXCELLENT resource. It made me want to learn everything possible about FAM. It is easy to read and understand and the details are fascinating. The method is a great alternative for those who have decided that other birth control methods aren't for them. It does take a little time to get used to keeping track but knowing what your body is going through provides total comfort whether you are tring to achive or avoid pregnancy.

Summary: Its more than just getting pregnant.
Review: Using the information in this book I found that I have a very regular 51 day cycle. This helped me when I was trying to get pregnant. But I also new right away when I was and was able to calculate my due date correctly which of course my doctors didn't. My husband and I also knew why it took us 8 months to get pregnant. Because I ovulate less often and have very little cervical fluid. Armed with that information we knew to just keep on trying and we would succeed. Which of course we did. I love this book and recommend it for any one who is trying to avoid or become pregnant. As well as people trying to demystify the female cycle. I really love this bood.

Summary: A Must-Read Reference Source
Review: The information in this book is so important for all woman, whether they want to get pregant, avoid it, or just to learn the most basic (and amazing) facts about their bodies. It is extremely well written, and like Our Bodies Ourselves, should be on every woman's reference shelf. As so many have asked here previously, why weren't we taught this before?!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A wealth of information, and it's easy to understand!
Review: There are so many reviews of this book - I'm not going to repeat everything everyone else has said. But I read this book, and use it every day as a reference tool. Toni Weschler is amazing at telling us how to read our bodies' signals. So many women and couples have trouble conceiving or avoiding pregnancy, and she makes it all so understandable, without insisting on expensive, invasive procedures. I highly recommend this book to all women.
