Rating: Summary: Well Worth The Money!! Review: This is one of the most helpful and informative fertility books I have read! I would highly recommend also purchasing the accompanying software, which you can try free for 15 days by downloading it from ovusoft.com. This is the only FDA approved fertility software on the market, and its fertility predictions for me have been on the money so far! You can print out your cycle charts to bring with you to your next medical appointment, so you and your doctor can pinpoint any setbacks. The software costs $39.99, but is worth much more. You can either download directly from the website, or order a hard copy. You can find extremely supportive message boards on the website, as well, where so many women with fertility issues come together. The book has opened my eyes to a lot of information I would have been embarrassed to ask anyone about. If you are considering the purchase of this book, don't think twice! You will NOT be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: Don't try to be a woman without this book! Review: As a nurse and as a woman, I can't recommend this book highly enough. I thought I knew enough about the human body and how it worked, but let me tell ya - I didn't know nearly what I should. If you are charting to try to conceive a child, you need this book. If you are charting to avoid conceiving a child, you need this book. If you don't want to chart but just want to know about your hormones, you need this book. Find out, step-by-step, why your body does what it does every month. Find out why it can be so surprisingly simple to forecast your ovulation. Find out why you don't need those expensive ovulation predictor kits! More important than anything, find out how to become comfortable with your own body, with recognizing the signals your body is sending. Don't wonder any more - see actual photographs of cervical mucous. See example after example of charts for comparison to yours. See the "rules of charting" explained in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Consider this book the "bible of fertility." Don't be a woman without it!
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: This book is so informative and has been a great reference for me. The layout is easy to follow, and the writing style is informative without being condesending. The book has so much more to offer than simply trying-to-concieve information (although it is certainly very helpful in that area). I recommend this book highly!
Rating: Summary: BUY THIS BOOK!!!! Review: This is a must buy for anyone trying to conceive. I'm over 36 and was afraid I would have difficulty getting pregnant but got pregnant the first try using this book!!! It turns out that I ovulate later than most and would may have never gotten pregnant if I didn't know how to time things correctly.
Rating: Summary: Why do people find this so helpful? I didn't... Review: To me, it seemed virtually this entire book talked about CM! There's a lot more to understanding fertility than just knowing your CM!!!! :(
Rating: Summary: EVERY WOMAN HAS TO READ THIS BOOK! Review: At 21 years old I thought I knew how everything works, but the first 27 pages prooved me wrong. Please, every woman who reads this review, just pick up a copy, even if at your library (although I think it is worth the buy) and read it. It is unbelieveable how much I have learned about myself. Even if you're not trying to get pregnant, it is educational. I will reccomend this book to every woman I meet. What a great feeling to know every time when my period comes. HAPPY READING!
Rating: Summary: Every woman should read this book Review: I originally bought this book as a guide to natural birth control after encountering many problems with the pill. Later I used it for pregnancy achievement. But through all of this, I learned an incredible amount about the female cycle, things every woman should know and understand. This book has been a tremendous source of information and knowledge and if I had a daughter (I only have sons) I would make her read it as soon as she hit puberty! Mine is coming apart from years of useful service.
Rating: Summary: Required reading Review: this should be required reading for all females (and probably males, too!) on the face of the planet. reading this book made me realize how much i didn't know about what was going on in my body every single day, including my body's way of telling me when it's ready -or not ready- to get pregnant. with the help of this book my husband and i got pregnant on our first try, and a friend of mine has been using this to NOT get pregnant and has been successful for the past 5 years. even if you're not looking for a method of pregnancy/birth control, this is still a wonderfully educational book and a fascinating read.
Rating: Summary: MUST READ! Review: This is book is a must read for any woman whether or not she's currently looking to get pregnant. Its comphrehensive, straight forward and highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Very informative Review: I had major problems with poly-cystic ovarian syndrome and never would have figured out my ovulation patterns if it weren't for the information I found in this book, plus some helpful information on getting pregnant that I found in The Unofficial Guide to Having a Baby. It's amazing how little we are taught about our own bodies in health class. We get a few basic lessons on birth control, but that's it. Where is the detailed information on predicting the timing of ovulation and learning to monitor your own unique fertility patterns? It certainly wasn't covered in my high school health curriculum.
