Summary: First try a home run!
Review: Growing up with irregular cycles, and I mean i-r-r-e-g-u-l-a-r, my doctors always told me I might have fertility problems or even be infertile. I wanted to do my research first before starting to try to have a baby to avoid many agonizing months of trying and failing. Every source I researched pointed to Toni Weschler's amazing book. I bought it and read it in ONE night. I was pregnant the same month. Thank you Toni from the bottom of my heart and belly :)

Summary: Finally an answer
Review: This book was just what I needed. After reading it, I understand my cycles and know when I'm going to be late without thinking I'm pregnant only to be dissapointed. After my doctor told me to just "not try" I was frustrated. After reading this book, I was optimistic. And after only two months, we have a baby on the way, this after trying for over a year. I wish I'd read this in my 20's. I would recommend it to all women, whether they are trying to get pregnant or not.

Summary: Taking Charge of Your Fertility
Review: This book was great for trying to get pregnant. I tried the charting one month, and tried to get pregnant the next month. It worked in just on month! The step by step techniques to learn my body's cycles were great. I was nervous because I am 35 trying for my first time, but may have had an easier time than some because my cycles are very regular. I may even consider using this for birth control after the baby arrives (or might double check the with an ovulation kit first). You must be comfortable with your body to use these techniques, but it does work.

Summary: This book should be renamed "The TTC bible"!!!
Review: I am an RN, so I thought I knew all there was to know about reproduction and ttc until I bought this book. This book was much more detailed than any school class I've been in. It quickly made me realize that one simply cannot get pregnant any old time they want to. It is a highly complex, yet natural process...from your period, to ovulation, to the luteal phase, this book covers all the things to watch for to pinpoint ovulation. And the author does not use fancy medical jargon; this book is easy to read, descriptive, and informative for the general public. I believe anyone trying to conceive should purchase this book and read it first, before even trying. It is well worth the money!!!!!! I commend Toni Weschler on providing us with such an educating book.

Summary: Highly recommend this book - it worked!
Review: I must admit, I hadn't really read the book thoroughly. I was skimming through certain parts and read the section on changes in cervical fluid and body temperature. I half heartedly told my husband that according to the book and if it's right, I'm ovulating and we tried to conceive during those few days. To my surprise and shock, we were successful in the first month of trying! As I write this review, I'm 8 months pregnant with my first baby and I'm 39 years old. So obviously, I'm not as fertile as a younger woman would be. My menstrual cycle is not your typical 28 day so don't believe anyone who tells you to try on the 13th, 14th, 15th day after your first day of menstruation. Everyone's cycle is different and this book will help you understand your cycle and what your ovulation period is for the particular month you're trying to conceive.

Summary: This is a Life-Changing Book
Review: This is one of the most helpful and influential books I have read in my entire life!

I never liked the idea of taking The Pill and putting all those chemicals in my body, but felt I had few other options when I was first married. Recently, my husband and I found out that chemical birth control can abort a fertilized ovum, so that finalized our decison to find another method. We weren't sure what alternatives were out there other than the traditional chemical or barrier methods. This started my search of the web for information. Toni Weschler's book kept coming up on different websites. After reading about the content of the book and what others thought about it, I ordered online from Amazon.

This book provides a viable, reliable option for birth control. It also taught me some amazing things about my body that I never knew! I can't believe how ignorant I was of the inner workings of the female body, even after taking human biology in college. Toni Weschler explains everything in a comprehensive, yet easy-to-understand way. It's almost hard to believe that birth control this effective could really be so easy, and all without chemicals or unpleasant devices. I now feel empowered and well-educated. I only wish I had heard about this book a few years ago, before I was married. Honestly, I am so excited about what I've learned, I would love to be certified to teach it!

Although we are using this method in order to not get pregnant at this time, the information on how to get pregnant was fascinating. I was amazed to learn that many couples who have been told they are infertile really aren't- it's just that they aren't having intercourse at the right time (according to fertility signs) in order to achieve pregnancy. It sounds to me like people wanting to get pregnant could avoid a lot of financial and emotional hardship just by using the method explained this book. I was also surprised to learn that you can, to some extent, plan the gender of your baby. Wow! I thought that was just an old wives tale- but it's for real!

The bottom line is... if you want to understand how the female body works- read this book! If you want a natural, effective means of birth-control- read this book! If you want to learn about how to get pregnant- you guessed it- read this book! You won't be sorry.

Summary: Amazing
Review: Anyone wanting know more about their bodies and or trying to get pregnant should definitely read this book. I have learned so much about my cycle and conception. I can't wait to put the information to the test.It is also a wonderful natural birth control that is not the rhythm method and definitely works if you follow it correctly. Worth every penny! I am just waiting for another book to follow hopefully on pregnancy and post pregnancy

Summary: very informative! Get it even just to learn about your body
Review: We were trying to conceive for a couple of months before I got this book. I know so much more now about how the female body works and, hopefully, will have good news soon. I wish the author had shown charts with short cycles like I have instead of the 30+ day cycles that were used. I love the way you can "read" your body through charting - something I never thought I'd do cause I thought it would be too confusing and time-consuming. It takes just a couple of minutes a day to fill in the charting info and you learn so much! I also would've like more info about the cervical position. Now in my 2nd month of charting, I'm understanding it a bit more but that part was pretty confusing in the beginning. I'm really glad I got the book.

Summary: WE GOT PREGNANT ON OUR FIRST TRY
Review: My husband and I highly recommend this book to any couple trying to get pregnant. Every woman should have a copy of this book. You can learn so-o-o-o much about your body as a woman. I was able to chart my ovulation and got pregnant on our first try. The book was worth it's weight in gold!
