Summary: The Bible...
Review: if you're trying to conceive. I got pregnant within 4 cycles(months) of trying, using the information Toni provided. This after suffering from endometriosis AND fibroids for years (as well as undergoing surgery for both!) Another excellent resource is the website affiliated with the book: www.ovusoft.com Check out the message boards. Simply invaluable!

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: With a five star rating from 630+ reviews, what more can be said? My two cents: In my opinion, it is a must read for all women (and would enlighten a few men!)

Very easy reading, written with humor and compassion. Don't let it's size scare you off. You'll blast through it in no time. Quick reading chapters with lots of diagrams! No super technical medical words.

If you are blessed with a daughter, empower her with FULL knowledge of what is going on with her body. (Parts are easy for newly menstruating girls to follow, but I would recommend the book mainly for teens 15 and up because of the more mature attention-span required! No giggly girls, please!)

If like me, you are trying desperately to have a child and are about to give in to the "high-tech" way, PLEASE read this first! Specifically giving signs a woman can easily observe herself to let her know when she is most able to concieve, this book is way beyond what your doctor tells you!

Summary: A MUST READ
Review: Whether you're just starting the journey to having a baby, or struggling with infertility, or just want to know how your body works, this is one of the best books I've ever read. There is so much information about our bodies that we are never taught...until this book! Since I struggled with infertility, this book was a fantastic resource, because I was able to pinpoint more clearly what was wrong, and explain my cycles to the doctors accurately. So often when you're trying to concieve, you can waste valuable time because you don't understand how your body works. Read this book-it's a must read for any woman to understand her body better!

Summary: Great and Easy-to-Understand Book!
Review: This is a great book and quite easy to understand!! It is filled with useful information and sample charts, etc. I was so happy with the book that I've given this book to two of my girlfriends and they too became pregnant right away (probably within 2 months of receiving the book as a gift!) I think that this book is a must-have for any woman/couple who is/are trying to get pregnant! You won't be disappointed!

Summary: Taking charge or Insight?
Review: Although I have to applaud Ms. Weschler's efforts and I consider this a valuable resource, please consider this Insight rather than Taking Charge of your fertility.

Summary: A must read for every woman
Review: Before I read this book, I thought I knew a lot about how my menstural cycle operates. But, after reading this book I found out that I only understood a little. This book provides a wealth of information for those who are trying to conceive and for those who are not. For years I thought that I had an irregular menstrual cycle, but after reading this book I know that my cycle is normal.
This book does not focus on one particular aspect as stated in another review. This book discusses everything from understanding your cervical fluid to understanding your leutal phase. And, the examples and illustrations are excellent. Now, when I go to the doctor's office I go armed with knowledge of my body!

Summary: Advanced Sex Ed
Review: This book covers how to get pregnant, how not to get pregnant, and how women's natural cycles work, in far more detail, variation, and good sense than I have seen before. I learned more from two hours spent reading this book than from several previous books and websites combined.

I recommend this book to all female humans who have reached sexual maturity, and to any male humans who want to understand how we work.

Summary: TRYING TO GET PREGNANT? BUY THIS BOOK NOW!
Review: When I mentioned to a friend at work that my husband and I had decided to try to get pregnant she insisted that I buy this book. I think every woman worries about having problems with fertility and questions whether or not she will be able to conceive. This book is every woman's best friend. I learned so many things that I didn't know about my body and it made me feel as if I had more control over the situation. After charting for two months we have successfully conceived and I give a tremendous amount of credit to this book for our success. Although much of the information in the book is clinical, it is easy to understand and follow. I read the whole book in one sitting and continue to refer back to it even now. If you are tyring to conceive or if you are looking for alternative forms of birth control you have to buy this book.

Summary: If you're having problems conceiving, book is worth the read!
Review: The author helps you understand what is going on with the female body and makes the most efficient use of your love-making time. It is well worth the read. After one cycle of using the Fertility Awareness Method detailed in the book, my husband and I got pregnant.

Summary: Attention to Infertility Specialists and other OB/GYN
Review: I bought this book on the advice of a friend, after trying to conceive for 2 years. I learned more about my cycles than what the fertility specialists were trying to sell. I implore any one in the medical community who is helping a woman thru infertility to read and study this book. In the event that your patient brings in those charts, you want merely lay them aside and mock fun of them, but look at them and know where to direct her care. So many infertility specialists just want money. They care less of thier patients needs and order unnecessary tests. I spent countless money and time in offices, only to learn that the information was already in my charts.
