Summary: A must read if you want to get pregnant quickly
Review: This book was wonderful. It's a useful guide that I still use as a reference almost weekly. My husband and I wanted to start trying for a baby but I had no idea how long my cycles were or if they were normal. After reading this book I was able to determine that I would only ovulate every 3-4 months. I was able to save about a years worth of time because I immediately detected the problem and made an appointment with a fertility specialist. I ended up getting pregnant from the first time I actually ovulated because I knew exactly what signs to look for. I would recommed this book to anyone who is trying to get pregnant whether you have fertility problems or not.

Summary: Great Book! Highly Recommended!
Review: This was a great book! It really helped me understand my body and how it all works specifically when it comes to fertility. Everything it said was totally accurate for me. (And we did have a baby boy as a result of charting and understanding how it all works.)

Summary: It worked!
Review: I bought this book (along with some others) in a fit of "baby fever" in January. I wanted to learn more before my husband and I committed to trying to get pregnant.
This book demystifies everything about reproductive anatomy and how the female cycle actually works. I began charting my waking body temperatures in January to understand my cycle.
Because of the temp. charting as described in the book, I know the exact day on which I conceived. Also, had I NOT been charting my temperatures I would not have known I was pregnant so quickly since I had what appeared to be a normal cycle.
This is a great book, very informative with lots of examples and even a little humor now and then.

Summary: A MUST READ - Very Informative
Review: We were trying for over 1.5 years to get pregnant. I thought I was very knowledgeable from my own research on the internet, but I learned even more from this book. The book is very candid and thorough, a must read for anyone trying to get pregnant. I became pregnant the cycle after having read the book and was spared the agony of infertility testing that the doctor had recommended.

Summary: Any woman should read it
Review: I found this to be the single book that approaches fertility monitoring from the perspective of health maintenance, not just pro / against conception. The subject is narrow enough but focused and clearly explained. Many charts are discussed and their variations are shown. Toni did a very thorough job in covering questions that might arise in different situations, and obviously had the breadth of experience to glean charts from. Easy to read, and easy to use as a reference as well. Overall, it has been an excellent resource since I bought it.

This is information every young woman should know about her body. Maintaining good information about onesself *will* become useful in a variety of situations -- from correcting irregular periods (currently, all one gets in a doctor's office is a vague diagnostic of endo, and a pack of pills) to scares of infections that just turn out to be regular features of the cycle, to pregnancy achievement, by which time, many women have only had regular cycles while under the pill, and have no ideea how their body actually works on its own. Doctors again lazily diagnose advanced age and lack of ovulation, then proceed to prescribe treatment. Knowing that one *did* in fact ovulate, knowing the length of one's luteal phase and CM are data that could help steer investigation in the right direction -- or avoid it altogether. Knowing that an irregular cycle was caused by an early loss of pregnancy is even more valuable. Finally, one can estimate more accurately a due date that conforms to the cycle in which conception occured, not some national average. This book is indeed about taking control!

Summary: Natural Family Planning Worked for me
Review: Natural Family Planning worked for me.

My husband and me read this book and decided that this was the best form of birth control for us.

After a year and a half we got pregnant with our first child. Now this was not exactly a planned pregnancy. But it was close enough. We had just decided that we could afford to get pregnant and that we would try to get pregnant soon in the future. Then guess what happened, we stopped paying attention to my fertility cycle. It just did not matter that much to us, we were not that concerned about getting pregnant. So we got pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

After our daughter turned three we decided to get pregnant again, and we did, the very first month we tried. Unfortunately we had a miscarriage. Now the doctor tried to tell us we just "skipped" a period but we knew my cycle and knew we miscarried. We then referred to a midwife who confirmed our suspicion that we had miscarried. After three months of allowing my body to recover from the miscarriage we decided to try again. And we got pregnant again.

We now have two beautiful baby girls and are still watching my cycle so that we can decide when to have the next one. Maybe next time we will try some gender determination tricks to try to have a boy.

Summary: A must for every woman
Review: It doesn't matter weather you're trying to get pregnant, or trying to avoid pregnancy. This book is great to help you undestand how your body works. It's just something every woman should know. The book is very well written and easy to understand.
I've been using FAM as a birth control method for the past six months and I want to say IT REALLY WORKS. It's nothing like the rhythm method. I feel great respecting my body and I'm sure that once I decide to get pregnant I'll be able to using this same method.

Summary: I'm Finally in Charge
Review: After 2 years of trying to get pregnant, I got pregnant within a month of reading this book. It turned out that my doctor's advice about when to have intercourse was totally wrong, but I would never have known that without the book.

I intend to use it to keep track of my ovulation after my baby is born, so that I don't get pregnant again until I'm ready. It is so easy to use, and is perfect for people who can't use the pill or other birth control methods. A friend used it to narrow down the causes of her infertility so that she could treat it properly, and is due within a week of me!
