Review: I have many self-help books, and most of them let you that you SHOULD be happy, and give examples of happiness,...tell me something I don't already know! This book tells you how to be happy with yourself to survive this crazy world. It's definately do-able, it will make you think about you own life, and learn how to TAKE CONTROL over your life instead of life taking controlling of you. It is the ultimate gift for anyone you love, especially those who feel helpless and hopeless. YOU WILL DEFINATELY BENEFIT FROM THIS BOOK!!!!! This book tops all the many self-help books that I have in my collection, and I will not give it away because sometimes, I go back it to refresh my memory on what's important.

Summary: Get into these habits!
Review: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is a well-written formula for effectiveness in all areas of life. The excellent information contained within this long standing best-selling book is substantiated with clear diagrams. The diagrams make the information memorable. If you want to acquire habits that will insure a decent, extraordinary life, this book will meet your needs. Stephen Covey has led me in the right direction, and he will do the same for you. He endorsed a book called Optimal Thinking-How To Be Your Best Self which completely turned my life around. Optimal Thinking gave me the simple formula to be my best, bring out the best in others, make the most of every opportunity and obtain the best results. Make sure you read these books and give them to everyone who is open to being their best and making the most of life.

Summary: A Classic!
Review: I read this book when it was first published and I refer to it often. This is one of those timeless works on being a success that seems to get better with age like a good wine. As a professional who works within this genre, I have to recommend that you read it!

Summary: Comprehensive blueprint for revitalizing corporate America
Review: Dr. Covey's book has deservedly withstood the test of time. If you appreciate the 80/20 rule that 80% of your benefit comes from 20% of (whatever), you'll know that sometimes the 95/5 rule applies: Ninety-five percent of your effectiveness in life and business comes from applying five percent of the advice available. Dr. Covey has culled that 5% that most deserves your time and energy.
He addresses the critical issues of how you set your goals and priorities, how you dedicate your time, how you manage people, and how you keep your ethics and values intact throughout the challenges of life.
If the Seven Habits had been applied during the dot.com boom instead of the Common Deadly Principles of Greed we would surely have had slower, steadier, more lasting economic growth. It's never too late.
More than ever, these positive principles are needed throughout American life - and especially within the business sector. The behavioral principles are sound and built on the rock of universal (not sectarian) spiritual laws.

Summary: A must-have in your life
Review: This book is a must-have for your personal library if you are serious about personal development and growth in your own life. I am a motivational speaker and author, and this book has had an important (and positive) influence on my thinking, teaching principles and writing. I can safely say that it assisted with my own transition to self-acceptance and a positive outlook on tomorrow. I definitely recommend this for you!

Summary: YOU'RE NOT LDS? THEN YOU ARE AN OUTSIDER
Review: Mr. Covey's book seems all nice & good but, the path to HELL is paved with good intentions. Meanwhile, back at the "LDS Ranch" their little followers discriminate against middle aged single women in the workplace--apparently, they prefer bare-foot & pregnant types--I know this because I've experienced doors slammed in my face by a myriad of their LDS-run companies. MR. Covey should write a book addressed to his fellow LDS "sheeple" on how to treat "outsiders" with respect--otherwise, their lies & cult behaviour will be more & more exposed & will only send them to their demise (ask a Catholic priest!!).

Summary: Get yourself right and then do the right thing with others
Review: This is one of the greatest books ever written to help people like me find their way in the world. Before this book, I read lots of self-improvement books, but none of them inspired lasting change. This book makes sense and helped me tie all the information I had gathered together and made it stick. I have read all of Dr. Covey's books and follow his recommendations as much as possible. First Things First, another book by Dr. Covey, gave me control of my priorities and stopped my life-long habit of procrastination. A few weeks ago, I learned that Dr. Covey had recommended Optimal Thinking-How to be your Best Self, so I read it. Optimal Thinking cured me of all the confusion I had about positive thinking. I learned how to put best self in charge of my life, and ask the best questions to find the best solutions. I could not have committed to a principle-driven life if Dr. Covey had not shown me the way.
