Rating: Summary: Very Funny, Enjoyable Book Review: A previous reviewer complains that this book adds nothing new to the prank letter book genre. While I respect the opinion, I wholeheartedly disagree. The main thing that this book adds to the genre is this: a darn funny, side-splitting, hilarious book. Does the author reinvent the prank letter? No. Does he set the world of prank letters on its head? No. Does he make you question your existence as a human being reading a prank letter book in a cold, unforgiving universe? Uh, no. Does he make you laugh so hard that you can't catch your breath and tears are running down your face? For me, the answer was YES YES YES! Anyway, if you're looking for a book that cures cancer or re-invents the wheel, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a really funny, quirky book that will add a few hours of fun and laughter into your life, I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

Rating: Summary: Consumer Joe Comedic Genius! Review: Consumer Joe is hands down, the funniest book I have ever read! If you are the type of person that is uncomfortable losing control of your bladder or not into making a spectacle of yourself in public then you should read this book in the privacy of your own home. It will surely cause you to laugh in a way that you have never laughed before! I can't wait to read more from Paul Davidson and his alter ego(s).
Rating: Summary: Consumer Joe Blows! Review: I bought this book hoping to enjoy a different take on the whole prank letter thing. Boy was I wrong. I am not sure why anyone would try to drop their hat into the arena of prank letter writing, at least without some true purpose or intention. Consumer Joe's letters do one thing best, they illicit great replies. That's it. Only a handful were original enough to be looked at on their own merrit. But they hardley justify an entire book. The letters are still silly only for the purpose of being silly, without much depth. There is nothing wrong with that, but this is what countless prank letter books have done in the past. And since they came first they are what all that follows should be judged by. If you already own The Lazlo Letters or Letters from a Nut, your set.
Rating: Summary: Great coffee table book... Review: I purchased this book after hearing the author on KROQ. I absolutely loved it. It was a combination of funny yet realistic situations. I've often asked myself some of the very same questions and could relate. I read some of the letters at a family gathering and we laughed out loud.

Rating: Summary: Funniest Thing I've Read In a Long, Long Time Review: I rushed out to buy this book after listening to an interview with the author on a popular morning radio show. Mind you, this is not something I am prone to do very often, but the guy sounded really funny on the radio and some of the letters that were read on-air almost made me pee my drive-time-traffic pants. Well, after reading through it a total of one-and-a-half times (some pages were so funny, I had to read again), I am very pleased to report that the book did not disappoint - and in fact, far surpassed my expectations. The letters he writes to major corporations are truly hilarious. These are all companies that I use, or have used on a regular basis, so reading the letters was not only entertaining, but also a kind of wish-fulfillment on my part. And then, the corporate replies.... Just knowing that someone had to spend the time to write a straight-faced response (and in some cases, not-so-straight-faced) tickled me to no end. Although I do have to express my surprise that some of the companies actually displayed a little sense of humor. Bottom line: If you like to laugh, buy this book! I've already more copies for Christmas presents!! Sure to become a fave coffee table book in your house as well. And word to the wise: be sure to relieve your bladder before you read!

Rating: Summary: Laugh Until You Wet Your Pants! Review: Ok, you might not have to change your shorts, but you'll at least have to wipe away some tears of laughter after reading the brilliant letters from the twisted mind of Paul Davison. This book is hilarious. Take it to work, parties, the grocery store, etc. and you are guaranteed to make people crack up at the sheer silliness of Davidson's consumer inquiries and the responses he gets from corporate giants.
Rating: Summary: Laughing Out Loud Review: So I heard about this book from a friend, so I picked it up for a recent trip to NYC. I cracked it open @ the airport as I waited for my flight. "David Paulson's" letters are so quirky and bizarre, its hilarious. I just kept thinking, how does this guy come up with some of these scenarios and inquiries. Corporate America is just so white collar and by the book, it's refreshing that a handful of companies even played along. At one point I was lauging out loud for 5 minutes straight at JFK as I sat at the gate. I ended up taking the book into work and it was water cooler chat for a week. This is an excellent conversation piece or just a laugh out loud book to keep in your guest bath. I highly recommend this book.....
