Rating: Summary: "K" is for "Kidnapper"... Review: This book is one of the most sinister- cruelly entertaining things I've ever read! It's no wonder they have added to the title that it is not for kids; I would hate to see the damage that would happen if it ever fell into an innocent childs hand! This book begins with a forward about hating children (so brilliantly written you think he loves them until you take a second look) and then commences on a journey to bring as many perils upon children as there are Alphabet letters- and then some! There's even "game time" where the kids are taught a way to play hop scotch- with reall scotch! It's great for older people, but like I said, beware if a child gets this book. It should be locked away and snickered at in secret until the kids are grown.
Rating: Summary: Hysterically Witty Review: This is by far the funniest book i have ever encountered. i've been reading Shel since i became literate, and consider myself an avid fan. This book, written as if a children's book, is witty, twisted, and extremely amusing. Perfect for anyone who enjoys a sick joke or two. I also reccomend it for a "Coming of Age" book for those neices and nephews you love!
Rating: Summary: Classic Silverstein Review: If you are a lover of any of Shel SIlverstein's work, then this is the book for you. Geared toward the grown-up, this early work takes a rather snide and sarcastic look at the ab"z"'s. Growing up I loved Silverstein's writing, and finding this was a rare gem for me.
Rating: Summary: Great for kids!! Review: My uncle bought me this book a few years back... the best book for kidz on the planet! U should get it for your children!
