Summary: I'll always love meat, but not burger king
Review: I work at a fatburger and its pretty clean, after reading fast food nation, uts really clean.
I had no idea how dirty and wrong the fast food industry was. Its filty.
Fast food nation convinced me to stop eating fast food, not meat entirely, but fast food for sure.
I always wondered why the meat tasted funny, now I know why, its not beef. Its NU meat. So nasty.

Summary: a mouth full for america
Review: Fast food nation is the most interesting food I have ever read. I was sickened by what I was reading but I could not wait to see what was in store on the next page. I'm not sure why I felt like this, I think it is because everything was interesting and important information for people to no and I want to know it all. I'm glad to have read this book because this book opened my eyes to what I was eating and also what the rest of the world was eating. This book has changed my life ever since reading it I have slowed down my fast food intake and now I only eat chicken outside of the house. Thank you Eric Schlosser you have helped me out and many other people around the world as well.

Summary: good but long
Review: i thought this book was very horrifying yet informative. It definitely makes me think twice about going to a fast food place. i would recommend this book to anyone because it's a very fast read ~~but it is quite long!

Summary: Eye Opening Facts
Review: The book was extremely well researched and gave me a whole new look on fast food. I will think twice before going to the next Carl's Junior and biting into crispy french fries. It is devastating that the fast food industry has so much control not oly over our eating habit and the food production but even over politial things and our countries economics. I recommend this book to everyone who is ready to face what we eat on a daily basis, not only in fast food.

Summary: A comprehensive and isightful view of the fast food industry
Review: If you buy fast food, then you must buy this book. Schlossen informs the reader about the benefits and the falacies of the fast food industry and how it relates to people like you and me. Everytime we buy fast food we are resigning ourselves to poor health and promoting the growth and expansion of poor working conditions. The fast food industry has developed a vital symbiotic relationship with our economy. If people continue to buy fast food, American's health is going to continue to degradate itself. On the other hand if we stop buying fast food are economy could very well collapse. Get the whole story from Eric Schlossen, a well respected writed and journalis. Get this book!

Summary: Fast Food? No thanks.
Review: After reading this, you probably won't be driving through any more drive throughs, hoping to save time and money, just to fill your stomach, next time you'll think twice. Schlosser definitely shocked me with the truth about fast food. While reading, you want to keep reading, but at the same time you don't, because at some points you get grossed out. Warning, if you get to a short boring section, just keep reading, it gets better.

Summary: A good read for high school student
Review: I had to read this book for my economics class and so expected it be your good old average boring nonfiction. However, I was pleasantly surprised after reading just the introduction. By this time, I was interested, and even a bit enthusiastic, about reading it. Schlosser writes in a style that high school students and older can easily understand, which is one of the reasons I enjoyed this book. He does not ramble about boring or overly sophisticated subjects; he gives good descriptions and has very strong points. I feel pretty disgusted now knowing what's in the food that I USED to eat at cheap fast food chains. I might eat at them once in a while now, and probably only if I'm desperate. But other than that, they have definitely lost a customer. Thanks, Mr. Schlosser, for enlightening me and opening my eyes.

Summary: Very Informative, and Engaging
Review:
Fast Food Nation is an engaging trip into the heart of the fast food industry. Eric Schlosser tells you everything you would want to know about fast food and more.

I highly recommend this book. It is scary how much goes on without our knowing it, so be sure to pick this book up. It is very important that people realize the truth.

And you will definitely think twice before picking up that big mac.

Summary: The Dark History of the Happy Meal
Review: Eric Schlosser gives you the cold facts about the real History behind Fast Food. He lets you know how the Franchises became so big, the ingredients they put in their food to make it taste better. He tells you how these companies hire youthful, unskilled workers to work for them so they can pay them a lot less. After reading this book, I am much more aware of what I eat, and try to avoid eating at fast food restauants as much as possible. Overall, this book is a must for someone who wants to gain more knowledge about the history of fast food and how it all came to be. The only real con about this book is it gets to be a little repetitive after awhile.

Summary: Fast Food World seems more like it
Review: This book is highly resourceful and gives you everything you could ever want to know about the fast food industry (and even more information you could have done without). I would definitely recommed this to anyone remotely interested in what they put into their bodies (which I would hope would be everyone).

Schlosser's research is so thorough regarding every aspect of the fast food industry, from the immigrant workers of meat packing and slaughter house plants, to the people in third world countries who think fast food will "Americanize" them. You can't help but feel like a part of all the good, all the bad (and the ugly) resulting from this fast paced industry.

The reason why I say a "Fast Food World" is more like it is because of the "Global Realization" of the industry that is hitting hard. The widespread franchises are not only changing the way we as American view ourselves, but as we as humans view each other on this earth.

If you really feel you can handle the harsh reality that we live in, go for it. If not, just stick to eating food that you have prepared yourself.
