Summary: The Best of The Best in Technical Writing
Review: I've spent plenty of hours wading through poorly written technical material.

This book lies at the other end of the 'spectrum'. A joy to read, completely comprehensible: a thorough treatment of the subject. With each chapter, a complete bibliography regarding the whereabouts of the fundamental underlying research is provided.

I've been working with computer graphics for at least 20 years, and I learned more about color in one chapter than I had from any other graphics text I've ever encountered.

I first saw this book on display at the Apple WWDC 2002 in the conference bookstore. I put it in my Amazon wishlist by memorizing the title. It took me a year to get around to getting it, but I was glad I did.
