Rating: Summary: On the fence Review: This is a good book. It provides a solid foundation for questioning the way in which MANs are constructed today. The problem with the book is the author takes a confusing stance on the subject of constructing pure Ethernet networks within the MAN. At points, you will feel as though the author isn't sure himself that this is the best solution for providing a robust solution. But still a very good read. When I first picked it up, I couldn't put it down. But I kept expecting something that never did manifest. This book needed to provide more detail in terms of the actual construction, and less on the comparison between legacy TDM and Ethernet. Very much worth reading though.
