Rating: Summary: A Must For Every Affiliate Review: After reading this new book by Frank Fiore and Shanwn Collins, I was extremely impressed by the amount of valuable information that I encountered. This book may have been written with the merchants in mind, but I consider it a must for any affiliate that wants to learn about this new industry.
Rating: Summary: Quite Disappointed Review: I only wish I would have read this book before I put my affiliate program together. This book is so crammed full of valuable information, resources, tips, and help. I took 4 pages worth of notes. This book is excellently written both for the merchant who is thinking about putting an affiliate program together as well as for someone with an existing successful affiliate program. I doubt that there is a more complete and thorough book on successful affliate managment. I would give this book 10 stars if I could!
Rating: Summary: The Bible of Affiliate Marketing Books Review: If you're in the Affiliate business, or want to be, you must read this book. Can you become a priest without reading the Bible? Probably not. So why do you think you can be a successful Affiliate Marketer without reading THE book on the subject?Since I'm in the Affiliate Marketing Industry, I carry this book around with me everywhere I go with my laptop and business cards, just in case I need a reference or idea. Albiet a bit outdated by now, it is still the definitive piece of material on the matter.
Rating: Summary: Finally a reasonably priced - GOOD - merchant's guide! Review: In the burgeoning industry of affiliate marketing, it's refreshing to see a publication that provides a wholesome recipe, without a ludicrous price tag. Shawn and Frank talk straight from the trenches and have done a marvelous job conveying a wealth of useful information. Merchants who wish to explore a revenue sharing business model would do well to absorb this book. Those who already have an affiliate program in place should use it as a barometer of their success. I feel so strongly about the quality of this book that we are including a copy, by default, in our membership package at AffiliateFORCE.com Herby Olschewski, Chairman & CEO, AffiliateFORCE.com
Rating: Summary: Very useful Review: It's a practical, useful and throrough book. I especially liked that it included current trends and related phenomena. Two minor complaints: (1) I can't easily find back something, since chapters & parts are devided in a counter-intuitive way (at least, for me), and (2) I disagree to see affiliate programs as being comparable to advertising, since IMHO, affiliate programs are about outlets, not advertising. Nevertheless: I'm really happy I bought it!
Rating: Summary: Excellent information but out of date Review: Not too many things change faster than the internet. This book is chock full of good information and it is the only serious book on the subject available. Please issue a new edition! It is a couple of years out of date, which is a lifetime in web years.
Rating: Summary: The ultimate guidebook for affiliate managers Review: Shawn and Frank have put together a no-nonsense guide to running a sucessful affiliate program. Based on hands-on experience running an actual program, the book provides real life tips and examples to jump start your new affiliate program. Great job!
Rating: Summary: Extremely useful for anyone launching an affiliate program Review: This book certainly helped me organize my thinking while putting together an affiliate program. Although it seems aimed at larger organizations (the authors envision an entire department running the affiliate program), smaller merchants will find a lot of solid advice. The only negative comment I have is that the book shows signs of hasty writing and editing. But if you need the information, you'll be able to forgive that fault.
Rating: Summary: Merchants & Affiliates Need this Book! Review: This book is excellent! Merchants need to read this book to learn the options and steps to making their business thrive on the internet. Affiliates will learn from this book as well. Shawn and Frank know what it is like being an Affiliate as well as an Affiliate Manager. Learn why merchants need an affiliate program, how to get started, and how to get the word out. This book is a great resource, a keeper!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Resource for Affiliate Merchants Review: Well-written "How to" guide to building an affiliate program. A must read for new Internet entrepreneurs.
