Summary: Great delivery on promised content!
Review: This book delivers exactly what the title says that it will. If you are a non-engineer, but need a good understanding of how things work...this book delivers. It covers a wide variety of topics that are timely and does so in a way that us non-electical engineers can grasp, understand and apply. Authors Jones and Kovac do an excellent job of imparting the information and following the KISS principle. But, this should not be a surprise to anyone as the book was put out by Auerbach Publications/CRC Press and they are well known in many circles for quality technical publications. While the editors say that this is a quick-read reference for non-technical graduate and undergraduate students, I would disagree. This is an excellent book for anyone that needs a good ground level discussion of modern telcom topics without all of the related engineering baggage that some authors include. Not for the engineer and not for the overly experienced, but well worth the cost for the information provided.
