But now, after reading this fascinating and revealing book, I understand the "why" behind his genius. I actually feel 10 times smarter today than I did yesterday - look out world! As Dr. Proactive, I am always looking for examples to explain the 5 parts of proactive thinking to others. I usually find one or two examples in a dozen books. But Mark has delivered dozens of great examples in one superb book. I read the whole book in a day and now I'm going back and studying it, memorizing it, and most importantly, putting it into action by redoing my "Success Bound" and "Proactive Success" marketing plans and websites to make sure they incorporate every strategy from "MindControlMarketing.com". After his great discovery of relativity Einstein said, "The answers have changed." If he were alive today, he would have to say that again. If you are planning for a successful future -- if you want to be proactive -- then you must come to grips with the fact that Mind Control Marketing now equals Marketing Success. I read a lot more books than I review because I only want to rate those I highly recommend. This is one review I couldn't wait another moment to write, and if I could give it a 6 star rating -- I would! Seriously, I enjoy reading this book, not to mention the excellent illustrations. It is well laid out and organized. The author doesn't fill the book with extra useless fluff that wastes your time like some authors do. The author gets right down to the point and explains concepts in a concise and clear manner that anyone could understand. What's truly powerful about this book is that once you understand these concepts and the ways to implement them, you can apply them to any marketing environment such as the Internet. Not only that, most of these concepts will not get outdated with time since it plays on human nature and behavior. As someone who is trying to figure out how to market my services on the Internet, this book opened my eyes.

Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: The mind control secrets of Hyper-Hype Marketing =) Review: I recommend the book. But not for the book itself. The book itself, has a product, it's one of the best examples of how a good marketing campaign could create a best seller product and get amazing positive reviews. Even if the product is pure hype, like this book ;) The author make a confesion in the prelude: "The title of the book it's just to create curiosity... It works? Well... you are reading this, aren't you?" Most of the "secret" ideas are just common sense. Very few that are not common sense, are all classic ideas that have been arround for years in marketing publications. [...] These classic techniques are presented has "warfare techniques", and people who haven't read a single marketing book in their lives, could believe the hype. But not me. =) For example, Joyner talks about brain-wash techniques, the Columbine high school issue and the need of people to be validated for other people, and relate all this with "his" technique: "Put testimonials of satisfied costumers in your website" Uauuuuuhhh!!!! What a Forbidden Secret Mind Control technique!!! (yes, I'm being ironic here ;)) Other example: he tell stories about warfare and vietnam, and the techniques on camouflage in war, and relate this with "his" marketing "ruthless military" tactic: "Make your banners with a lot of colour and movement so it will be noticed from the rest of the webpage" Ha ha ha, all the so-called mind control and warfare tactics, are just the classic ideas of Internet marketing since his beginings, but he made a good job in painted them with the most brillant hype =) It's painfull ovbious that most reviewers have never read another marketing book in their lives.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Not what I have expected :( Review: The title is great, but most of the ideas in the book are just common sense. I'm disappointed by the hype this book is trying to generate. It's not a bad book. It's just not giving you enough information. Just like a short course on writing, you learn the principles but it will take a lot of efforts to work on it and to do it well. If you want a quick course on how to write effectively online, this is a good one. If you are looking for help on online marketing, then get other books.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Read all reviews carefully Review: (...) I did not find this book helpful. I believe that it's too short, and not specific enough to help anyone just starting out in business. If you are an "internet marketer", who sends out newsletters and pitches to sell marketing hype nonsense to people, you might find this book interesting enough. Somehow, I have managed to start a company several years ago, that had $5M in sales last year without using any of the techniques spelled out in this book. A better book for Internet business beginners is "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Starting an Online Business".
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Must Have! Review: I found the book very engaging and I read it from cover to cover in one sitting. It explores the psychological aspects of internet marketing in a way that hasn't been presented before. Plenty of useful information to apply to your business right away. I highly recommend it.
