Summary: Classic Marketing Principles Applied to the Internet
Review: The gaping stupidity of all the "dot-bombs" in the last few years is that other reasonably intelligent people listened to a bunch of geek heads in horn-rimmed glasses for marketing advice. Duh! What were they thinking? What Allen does brilliantly is market and his book is not about a bunch of techno-gizmos that don't translate to the bottom line. MSoII is about "Show Me the Money" and "Getting to 'Yes!'" all in one easy-to-read volume that will give you a clue of what you REALLY need to do on the Internet if you want an ebusiness instead of just a website. Is Allen a self-promoter? Absolutely. Does he then show people exactly how to do it themselves? You bet. I have more respect for that level of honesty and someone who's withstood a few knocks over the years compared to some snotty-nosed 20-something brat who's never seen a downturn in the economy since he's been old enough to drive. Allen has been there and back and I respect his opinion.

Summary: This Book Works! I'm Now Making Money Using This Book.
Review: I followed most of the instructions in Robert Allen's book, and am making money on the internet as a result of it. This book provides step-by-step instructions on how to
1) Generate an idea.
2) Create an internet business based on the idea.
3) Market the idea to make money.

The example Robert Allen gives of making money in 24 hours is not very reasonable for most people, for anyone really. However, I was able to generate income in 8 days from my web site's launch and it hasn't stopped!

I've read several books before starting my internet business, cybermasons.com, and this was by far the best. You can't go wrong with this book. The proof is in the sales!

Summary: It's time for a revision
Review: A lot of the techniques discussed in this book rely on using e-mail marketing. With the spam problem getting worse, many of the ideas won't work or will require too much effort to get your marketing messages delivered.

The book does provide solid explanations on other ways to make money online, but there're newer strategies being used.

I can't recommend another book at this time. Your best bet is to do searches on the Internet for money making ideas.

This would have been a 5 star book when it first came out. If Allen were to write a revised edition I would get it.

Summary: A Decent Book That could Be a lot Better
Review: The claim of "How to Make 24,000 dollars in 24 hours" was solely created to get people to buy his book. What he *doesn't* say is that it took him about 9 months to build a subscriber base to his newsletter which then allowed him to send out a FINAL email with several offers; only THEN did he make over 90,000 dollars in a 24 hours a period, even after chargebacks. Any Marketing Guru worth his salt knows that it takes time to build a brand, reputation, and sound Marketing principles. This book is a good read and does provide SOME useful information, however, it seemed to have been written in a hurry, not to make a quick buck but to get the book out quickly internet. Bottomline: If you have the time to scour the net, you can find all this information and so much more and do not need to buy this book; look up Corey Rudl, Mike Enlow, Jay Abraham, Terry Dean, etc. My advice to Robert Allen: continue to help make millionaires out of ordinary people, however you NEED to be more up front about your methods. The 24K in 24 hours was misleading. Building any solid business takes time.

Summary: "Robert Allen has done it again!"
Review: I just finished this book--couldn't put it down. I have to agree with the negative reviewers of this book, Mr. Allens challenge to make $24,000 in 24 hours was scamful (is that a word?). Considering the fact that he was already a well known author and real-estate goo rue. This ploy was only a great publicity stunt, not so different from P.T. Barnum and others who have attained a high level of success. It's true, Mr. Allen did pander his web-site as well as all of his books and tape sets in excess, and this would scare some thin-skinned readers away. Now for the good stuff: whether this information is outdated or not, the internet is where it's at. Much of his book was authored by people who had gone from simple ideas to making millions of dollars online. With constantly growing traffic and all the garbage on the net there's never a better time than now to do it! Robert Allen pulls no punches and lets the reader know this business takes a lot of work and research. It is neither stated or implied that this is a get-rich-quick scheme. Roberts writing style is impeccable, especially for a writer of how-to books. This book seemed more like a suspense novel. I loved it and highly recommend it.

Summary: It could change the way you think about money.
Review: The first two chapters should be read by every person age 16 or older. It focuses on your thought process concerning money. The book consists of ideas for increasing your income and adding new sources of income. The wealth creating strategies involve stocks, real estate, tax liens, network marketing, intellectual property, the internet, taxes, estate planning, and others. The ideas lack depth and would require more research. Most of the chapter topics could each be expanded to become books. One idea taken from this book and applied could change your financial life.

Summary: This is a book worth getting and reading.
Review: I'm just finishing this book and have already started to recommend it to friends who want to stop working for other people and start living.

I was skeptical at first - I assumed it was another get rich quick Internet book. Wrong! Allen may draw readers in with his $24k in 24 hours boast (this is afterall about marketing), but he then explains exactly how he did it. And he has dozens of revenue-producing techniques covered in nuts-and bolts fashion which will generate multiple streams of revenue IF you have a product or service worth buying or at least a passion for one subject and a willingness to work.

To read the negative reviews here, Allen should be boiled in oil. Why are these negative reviewers so hot about this? I'd guess that they are ticked off because Allen spells out exactly how to succeed if you dare, and some people find that threatening.

I can't speak to his other books, but I do know technical stuff, having made my living the last 18 years as a contract programmer. Allen's technical information is highly accurate, and if his marketing advise pans out even partly, this will be the best 25 bucks I've ever spent!

I highly recommend this book!

Summary: What a RIPOFF
Review: This book is a self-serving article in which the author uses his own established email customers/subscribers to make lots of money. He baits them for months prior to the 24 hour test and he does make lots of money, but it is a scam. Stay clear of this book. Do not waste your money.

Summary: Steer Clear From This Junk
Review: After reading this book, the only conclusion I came up with is that we "Hard Working, Middle Class Americans will almost always be fooled by Author like this Capitalizing on our ignorance of these quick money making scams, this book those nothing but to draw the average reader into his other "Get Rich Scams". Their is no solid information here as to how to go about it properly step by step sound financial advise, however some reviewer here indicate that at least it should be taking as ideas, but even then, the bottom line always will remains shallow.

America will always fall short of these predators, Keep in mind that this author (Scammer) those not have any proven track record of making, building or helping in creating wealth for anyone that you know of other than DREAMS of becoming rich.

By this time, we should have learned our lessons from past experiences with people like Robert Allen. Invest the price of this book on a nice dinner for your significant other, He/she will love that investment.

Summary: Great Book and worth the $$
Review: This is the first time I read one of Robert Allen's books and absolutely loved it. I am disappointed in anyone who bashed this book claiming that it doesn't teach you anything other than selling unrealistic dreams. Maybe the title of this book mislead some readers but with common sense, people should know that there is no "get rich book" with quick remedy and magical formula to make you rich overnight. What you learned from this book are excellant marketing tips, a different perspective, and thought provoking ideas. The knowledge this book gives me (regardless whether I will end up making money on the NET) is well worth the $20. People spend hundreds $$ on clothes, electronic toys, makeups, and etc. Aren't those products also selling "dreams" ? In my opinion, this book gave me much more value than a $20 shirt would.
