Summary: Best Financial Book Ever!!!
Review: A must read for anyone even if you think you financial life is ok!!! It changed my life.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: THANK YOU MR. RAMSEY ! ! !
Review: Absolutely life changing. Rich or poor, you have to read this and apply it to your life. I read Financial Peace Revisited in one day; simply could not put it down. Only months after listening to his radio show I have dumped over $14,000 in debt, have set up an emergency fund, and I'm well on my way to being debt free (other than my home)in a matter of months. Not a lot of people can have this type of effect on you, and after reading this book, you will have a different outlook on every dollar that passes through your hands. I really cannot recommend this book enough and I only wish I could have read it 10 years ago after receiving my first paycheck.

Summary: Besides the Bible, no other book will change your life more!
Review: Besides the Bible, no other book has changed our lives more than "Financial Peace" by Dave Ramsey. This updated version is even more fantastic than the first book. It's a must-read for every adult and teenager. We give copies as Graduation and Wedding gifts. Dave Ramsey has helped us stay debt-free for over three years now. What a blessing! And it was so easy -- you can do it, too. Dave is "awesome" and "very cool" (ha)...

Summary: KISS (Keep it simple stupid)
Review: Dave does a great job of explaining how and why to get out of debt and stay out of debt. He also has great advice on working with spouses, kids, and others. Some complain that his approach is too simple. Why complicates something that IS simple? Everything Dave says is common sense, but the book is a must read because common sense is so uncommon.

Summary: Fine book, but....
Review: Debt-Proof Living by Mary Hunt is better. I like Dave Ramsey and enjoyed this book. It is a very good beginning primer for getting out of debt and on the road to wealth, but it is simplistic. Mary Hunt's book is much more specific and detailed, not to mention better written. An example would be the envelope system and saving for things like car repair. Dave is very vague about it. Hunt gives very specific details, suggesting you set up a special Freedom checking account and divide it up into categories that would equal envelopes.

Dave is far too politically conservative for my taste. Hunt, while also a somewhat conservative Christian, doesn't appear to care what your political beliefs are. She also comes off as very very bright. Ramsey, while apparently bright enough, is not much of an intellectual and comes across as your typical business major. Another difference is the level of trust I have in the information they give me. Dave isn't always completely honest about things and appears to only tell half of the truth or give only statistics that support his view. I trust Hunt's advice entirely. She also does not come off as arrogant, something I can't exactly say about Ramsey.

Still, I recommend Ramsey's books. They are quick and easy to read. Good beginning books. I just recommend Hunt's more.

Summary: very accessible, to the point reading
Review: Financial Peace is above all common sense--something most of us could use a lot more of, or at least I can, when it comes to money. I had confidence that Ramsey was hitting the topics I should think about, regardless of where I am at in my journey with finances. The Christian aspect of his teachings was a challenge now and then, but basically I decided: if that faith or any faith helps people live more peaceful, productive and happy lives, this is a good thing. The very last chapter gets a little proselytizing but I got the feeling the husband and wife Ramsey team were just doing what they felt they should. All in all, a good read, simple yet contemplative.

Summary: Even good for financially responsible
Review: I always thought I was pretty responsible with my finances, but this book lays it out! He has such simple ideas, but sooo true. We have made some changes to the way we rule our money and it makes me feel so much more secure. Awesome DAVE!

Summary: If you apply it....it will work!
Review: I bought this book because my Sister said that it would change my financial life! She was right! The book is so easy to understand and the "Grandma style" of saving money still works today no matter how much money you make! I recommend this book for everyone! It will save your life, you just have to apply the practices and you will gain Financial peace and the satisfaction of paying off all of your debt...not gaining it!

Summary: This book can turn your life around
Review: If you are in debt and want to change your life start here. This book can get you on track to a better financial life.
Thanks for speaking out Dave!
