Review: "The Lost Pet Chronicles" written by Kat Albrecht with Jana Murphy is newly released this month, and is also the most heart warming, interesting, quick reading, and informative book I've read in a very long time. I highly recommend it to animal lovers everywhere. If you live with animals, near animals, next door to animals, or simply love animals, it is a must-read for you! In your reading, you will learn a bit about how to coax your live-in animals to do as you would wish, about how to find your lost animals when they leave your home (get lost), a lot about the resources available to you when your animal gets lost, and what not to do when your animal gets lost. Going around your neighborhood calling "... here Kitty/Doggy ... here Kitty/Doggy ..." will not work! Oh, did I learn a lot!! And, I found my Abby too in the process. This book will be a joy to read for anyone who lives with animals, baby sits animals, or who perhaps visits homes in which animals live. In short, anyone who finds themselves in contact with animals on a regular basis would thoroughly enjoy this book, and learn much about interacting with those animals. With much enthusiasm, and without hesitation, I recommend this book to animal enthusiasts everywhere! Thanks Kat!

Review: A straight from the heart book. Kat Albrecht leads us through her life of evolving into a Pet Detective. Along the way we come to appreciate her deep love and appreciation for her animals as well as others. I thoroughly enjoyed her explanations of how she trained her dogs; and how her dogs trained her! I cried with her and I laughed with her. LOVED the book.S. Linden

Review: An absolute "must read" for any animal lover. Kat takes you for an intimate look into her and her beloved canine companions world of ups and owns. She has you laughing and crying and all the while giving excellent information and guidelines on what to do and not do when your own "family member" is missing. She let's you know immediately that she "knows" what you are going through and at the same time shows such professionalism. Excellent training tips for your own canine. I applaude Kat, her canines, volunteers and her vision. Absolutely, LOVED the book and couldn't put it down!

Review: Anyone who loves animals will find a wonderful story and much helpful information in this book. Thanks to Dr. Marty Becker who recommended it in his newspaper pet column and to Kat for persisting in pursuing her dream. (PS to Kat, thanks for describing your Rachel's sleeping spot and breakfast antics--it helped to know my Hannah isn't the only one!)

Summary: A Touching and Informative Book!
Review: Every pet owner should read this book! I found Kat's story to be interestng and so touching. She has a real passion for lost pets that was apparent in the book. There are joyful moments and also moments where I was reading with tears streaming down my face. I couldn't put it down and tore through it in three days. The book also contains an epilogue with excellent advice on how to find a lost cat or dog based on her experience. A portion of the proceeds from the book go to Missing Pet Partnership, a non-profit organization formed by the author.

Review: I found Ms. Albrecht's book to be one of the most inspiring stories I've read to date. Her writing takes the reader to places few have been. She allows you to share joy in her successes and grieve in her losses. Seldom do we know people brave enough to go for the brass ring, hold tight to their dreams and ignore the unsupportive people in their lives, but Ms. Albrecht's achievements are reason enough to give many the hope and inspiration to fight for what they believe in, and contiue on trying to reach their goals. From a pet owner point of view.... I think that anyone with a pet is thankful for the knowledge that she imparts in this book, and we can learn a tremendous amount from her. When a pet is lost, it is an extrodinarily emotional situation. How wonderful to have someone willing to help train others to find a missing pet who is deeply loved and needed by their owners. I anxiously await another book from Ms. Albrecht.

Summary: A Must Read - Entertaining and Informative!
Review: I love this book! I couldn't put it down. Each story was incredible, and I loved learning about this woman's life and her struggles. I learned so much about animals and their tendancies when they can't find home. Anyone who has a cat MUST read this- if your precious baby ever turns up missing you will know what to do. This is also a must read for all people in the animal care industry.
