Rating: Summary: Worth the read! Review: An excellent "story" book for law enforcement officers, their families, their friends, and the general public! My family includes several generations and types of cops, including a husband who retired as a sergeant after 25 years of service and a son who is now a young patrol officer making his own way and earning his own memories.... I am blessed to count many friends within the LEO community where I served alongside them during my own career. I grew up with them, lived with them, and worked with them. I have always known that cops were human.
Rating: Summary: emotional rollercoaster Review: An honor to read, and be brought inside the blue line. The best Police stories book because it was written by the cops themselves not told to others to be written. A true look deep behind the thin blue line. An even higher calling that all sales go to NYPD and PAPD charity.. A must read.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME!!!! Review: As a law enforcement student I read as many of these types of books as possible. "TRUE BLUE" is by far the best... I couldn't put it down! The stories in the book are mesmerizing and because they are true and written by "real" cops makes this book a great read for anybody who wants to know the reality of police work and the dedication put forth in this profession. And as a double bonus..I found out that the proceeds from the sale of the book go to New York City 9-11 survivors fund. BUY THIS BOOK!!!

Rating: Summary: An Imaginative and Informative Collection of Stories! Review: I love true crime and cop stories, and this book is one of the best ones I've read in many years. The author lets the cops tell their stories in their own words, and with all the quirks and nuances that make them unique as individuals. The story about the G.I. Joe doll really touched my heart, and renewed my faith in good cops. Most cops want to do their job with care and kindness, and this book shows the best and brightest of our generation. The good guys and gals are still out there, serving and protecting. God bless America's police officers, these men and women should be honored for their part in making the US a great place to live and work.
Rating: Summary: Heartbreaking and real Review: If you're a fan of true crime, this book is by far the best investment so far this year. Some of those true crime books are all about the mind of the criminals but this one gets right into the hearts of the men and women who protect us every day. It's gut-wrenching, funny, scary, touching and I loved every page. A nice companion to David Race Bannon's "Race Against Evil," a book about how one American worked for Interpol across the world and kept his sanity and his soul. This book is about American law officers in the U.S. and their own experiences. I loved it.

Rating: Summary: sad stories. Review: Most of the stories in this book are sad and some of them are funny. I recomend this book to people who think of the officers who risked their lives in 9/11.
