Rating: Summary: This Argument NEEDED to be made! Review: This book gives a POWERFUL argument for American persistance in the war on terror. Great Job Sean! It's an argument that needed to be made clearly, and networks don't often allow this viewpoint lately.
Rating: Summary: Many speed readers among us? Review: It has been a while since I have written a review, but now seemed to be the time since one thing I do not like is people who write reviews on books, tapes and CD's they have not read or listened to and never will. To bad Amazon cannot somehow stop this practice. I find it difficult to fathom that all you one star reviewers actually went out and bought this book if you dislike Hannity so much. I have a gut feeling that you really did not and are fooling us poor conservatives. Although the economy is improving, it is still not up to where I can see you shelling out the money for this book.As for my review I found the abridged CD entertaining and Hannity seems to have the same "worries" I have. He is just a hair more passionate about them. As his first book was a best seller I am certain that this will be too, mainly because of all you liberals purchasing the book, so that after "reading the book" you can all give it one star. Hannity I am certain would thank you for your objectivity in your reading habits and for his financial rewards.
Rating: Summary: Hannity's Book! Review: I think all the liberals should stick to coloring books and leave Hannity's new book alone. If you, the liberal, can't understand the subject that you are reading, please do not put a 1 star on this book as it is, in fact, an excellent read. Please keep this review board clear of Hannity "bashing" and go back to your coloring. This book, like Hannity, deserves 10 stars. 5 just aren't enough.
Rating: Summary: "seminar" reviewers Review: First off, I have not yet read Sean Hannity's new book, but expect it to arrive in the mail shortly. The reason for 5 stars is to off-set all of you anti-Hannity "seminar" posters. It's amazing that the book is hot off the presses and all you Liberals have an opinion about it. It's also amazing that under Bush's "awful" economy, you all have the money and time to purchase and read Hannity's book within 24 hours. Shame on all of you for being so uptight that you have to go out of your way and post negative reviews on a book you will never read because you are so ignorant in the first place. With that said, 4 more years for President Bush.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I have to say Sean Hannity, a fellow Long Islander, has done it again. I haven't completed all of the book, but so far it is an excellent read. Most people don't like to read the truth. Fact is we face evil and the Liberal approach has left us vulnerable to attack. Great work Sean, I recommend the book highly!
Rating: Summary: In the Final Analysis Review: Hannity's tome takes pains to point out something that doesn't need to be pointed out, that "evil exists" and it needs to be dealt with... I have been highly critical of this book in the past but re-read parts of it again last night. I have criticized its flagrant historical inaccuracies, particularly concerning the strategy of appeasement prior to WWII. Also, the cherry picking of history is remarkable. So, here is an author who "gets away with" historical inaccuracies and cherry picking to make his case. However, in terms of pure entertainment value, the book is oddly as much a fun read for those who are fans of Hannity as it is for those who disagree. So, while I stand by my criticisms, stepping back a bit, overall I have had fun arguing with the author and pointing out his blatant factual inaccuracies, half truths, and cherry picking. 2 stars off for historical misrepresentation and cherry picking. 3 stars for successfully agitating me as a polemist, re-kindling an interest in "real" accounts of WWII history, and overall entertainment value. I like to dislike Hannity, therein lies the book's value.
Rating: Summary: Appeasement = The End of America Review: The thing that Sean Hannity does so well in this book is point out how liberals are doing everything they can to weaken America by appeasing those who would seek to do us harm (either economically, morally, or militarily). The fact is that appeasement does work in some circumstances. As a parent, if my child is crying because she wants a particular toy, and my only goal is to quiet her down, I can achieve this by purchasing her the toy. For a short while, this works. But the next time my child wants something, she's learned that she just needs to make enough noise and I'll give her what she wants. In this book, Sean Hannity has used example after example to illustrate how liberals in this country and doing just that. One of the best examples of this is how, after the 'Black Hawk Down' incident, Bill Clinton pulled US troops out of Mogadishu. The message? Kill Americans and they will retreat. This is ultimately what encouraged Osama bin Laden to attack the World Trade Center. His rationale was "hurt the Americans and they will run". The same can be said for the bombing of the USS Cole. The fact is that through appeasement, the left would seek to quieten those down who would seek to harm us. It's a short-sighted strategy at best. Maybe they'll be quiet today. But tomorrow, when they want something else from us, they expect the same tactics to be successful, because they have in the past. It worked with Mogadishu, so naturally it should work with the World Trade Center. This philosophy is deadly to America. Because not only does it basically present America as a paper tiger, but it also reflects the thinking that America is a 2nd rate nation that has to be at the mercy of stronger countries (stronger is defined as countries with more will than us). Of course, it's not surprising that the liberals in this country would be mystified by this. The liberal psychology movement in this country has taught that it's wrong to spank or discipline, and it's much better to indulge your child than to set boundaries. 'Values-free' child raising is what they teach. And the result is a morally bankrupt generation. The core of this teaching is identical to that of appeasement. Give a child what he demands, and he will then do what you ask out of gratitude. Problem is, it just doesn't work that way. Studies have shown that discipline and boundaries are the key ingredient to raising healthy and well-behaved children. But you take this child-raising mentality and apply it to politics, and what do you get? We treat terrorist nations as if they were our children. They demand something and we give it to them, and the expectation is that they'll treat us well in the future out of gratitude. Once again, it doesn't work that way. It results in a generation of lazy, morally bankrupt children, and it is currently resulting in continued attacks against America. The terrorists are crying for their toy, and because we've done it in the past, they expect us to give it to them. Liberals want to. It's up to those of us with strong enough will to stop this destructive behavior before it goes any further. Anything else means the fall of America. Sean Hannity's book is a very clear wake-up call asking America to see the devastation coming our way if we don't take steps now. Read it with an open mind and you'll agree that strength is our only defense against the evil surrounding us. Oh, and one other question....if the thing that the terrorists want is the utter destruction of America and the death of every American citizen, how do the liberals propose to appease them? In this case, the toy that they're screaming for is way too expensive for any of us to pay.
Rating: Summary: Loud and repetitive doesn't make it true. Review: This book is much like Hannity in person: bellicose, shallow and full of "facts", that when you check them--aren't facts. Conservative political thought can be compelling and sensible, but Sean doesn't present anything here that either illuminates or educates. As I said, it is like his TV presence, rude, annoying and half true at best. Unless you just need a channel for your own life-pain and anger, and are willing to put your brain in nuetral while you read an angry man's nonsense, don't waste your money.
Rating: Summary: Just more far right scare tatics Review: This book is another book written for people who dont think for themselves. Just part of the republican propoganda machine to scare their constituants of the dreaded "liberals" It is really getting old. No wonder they cant stand Michael Moore, he blows them into the ground with facts they cant spin away.. At least when Bill Clinton lied while in office, nobody died. Too bad thats not true with "W".
Rating: Summary: Fox News=Destruction of objective journalism and fact Review: Sure, democracy represents the will of "the American people", but it has also provided the world with Hitler, G.W. Bush and Fox News...can you really trust an institution that does not allow any dissent and still claims to be "fair and Balanced"??Put this Bozo author in the same room with Michael Parenti, and Noam Chomsky and he won't win the battle of the minds...only the battle of voice volume... A sad commentary on why Americans still can't understand that the reason 9/11 occured is due to American support for Israel (one of the worst human rights records) and its policy in the middle east.
Don't buy Ruppert Murdoch's hype...It is way to dangerous....
