Summary: shouldn't he be holding a sparkler?
Review: blecch!
I read my brother-in-law's copy this weekend. I want my Sunday back. What a load of tripe!
This book (?) read like a tongue-in-cheek parody. Anyone else?
If sean & his followers want to label me as 'evil', I guess I'm proud of the distinction.
Please do read this...only borrow it from a dim-witted neighbor or relative. Good fun!

Summary: In Mourning...
Review: I grieve for all those poor trees who gave their lives to become the pages on which the words of this writer will appear.

Summary: Knucklehead
Review: In the words of the great patriot, Moe Howard, "Everytime you think, you weaken the nation". In Hannity's case, alas, it's not a slur - it's true!

Summary: Another Bestseller
Review: Having actually read the book, it's impossible to deny that Hannity has the New Left nailed. They have no vision, no ideas, just partisan hatred for anyone who recognizes that evil exist. In this age of terrorism, the New Left is at their worst. The Democrat Party of tradition is GONE. And in it's place are angry, anti-religious, anti-military, anti-tradition zealots who want to re-write the Constitution to fit their agenda of "no accountability/anything goes" doctorine. No wonder they lost control in Washington. As Hannity so eloquently says, "Their message is not resonating with middle America." Thank you Sean, for this update of "Let Freedom Ring". A must read for anybody that is sick of the politicizing of National Security.

Summary: Founding fathers would be proud...
Review: S. Hannity once again articulates his opinions with precision.

Summary: Deliver Us From Abuse of the English Language
Review: Above, there is a note that stipulates reviews must be restricted to 1,000 words. That will not be a problem for the book titled, "Deliver Us From Evil." Whover informed Sean Hannity that he is an author of non-fiction material is indeed "misinformed." I purchased the book one week ago. I read the first 125 pages. It was impossible to go further. This book is filled with fabrications. I couldn't help but wonder how the editor managed to struggle through the review of this obvious fabrication of a wannabe Nazi propaganda expert. I can certainly understand why right wing nut cases flock to Hannity -- most of them are ignorant of facts too.

Summary: Passion but no facts
Review: My recommendation for anyone who reads this is to get a passport and travel. Start reading news from Australia, the UK (and if you can speak a foreign language), Spain, France, Germany, Japan, etc. American news is biased. Forget right or left, but biased towards making America look good and putting band-aids on the fact that everything we've ever done in the world was not the best solution. And this goes for foreign policies under both Republican and Democratic presidents (Clinton was no saint either, see: Croatia). Broaden your horizons, read a paper or news source that isn't American and discover the truth isn't right or left, but usually somewhere in the middle. Therefore, I find it ironic that Hannity, although passionate and intentions well placed, just seems to be fanning the flames of ignorance that led to the situations that caused him to write this book in the first place.

Summary: Stop and Think...
Review: If you're here to get a sense of the book, I would suggest scrolling above and taking a look at the unusually tepid Publishers Weekly review, which cites selective use of history, circular logic, and refutable evidence as flaws of the book. On purely logical grounds, Hannity's claim: "for our democracy to survive we must root out terrorists and defeat evil totalitarian regimes before they can harm (the) usa"... Fine, then clearly we'll have to re-instate the draft to achieve this objective and expect to wage war on multiple fronts, starting with North Korea, and then expand to the rest of the unaffiliated "axis of evil" and beyond. Using Iraq as a model, figure each war and rebuilding effort will cost, conservatively, 200 billion dollars, so the USA would either go bankrupt or our taxes would double, triple, or quadruple. We will also be a nation at war for the rest of our lives. Should we follow through on Hannity's insipid proposals, I hope that the draft does NOT include deferment options for the wealthy and privledged, like the ones our current president and his predecessor took advantage of during the vietnam era, and ALL of our nations young, including any of the author's kids (if he has any) have equal opportunity to die or lose limbs in the war on terror. A second consideration is that Hannity implies that "liberalism" and therefore the democratic party should be erradicated along with despots and terrorists. So is he advocating a one-party fascist Christian theocracy bv default? Is this really the type of silly, simplistic, ill-conceived nonsense that passes for political discourse in this country? Scary.

Before you run to re-elect Bush in 2004, under the auspice that he is our nation's protector, I would suggest taking a look at a book coming out in March called Against All Enemies: Inside the White House's War on Terror by former counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke, who joins Paul O'Neill as yet another Bush insider to break ranks with the administration. Don't write him off as disgruntled - remember Clarke resigned of his own accord, unlike Paul O'Neill, and keep an open mind. You will likely learn things you don't want to hear, like the details on the many intelligence reports circulating in summer 2001 of the dangers of imminent terrorist attacks on the U.S., and that Richard Clarke warned FBI, aviation, INS, and other crucial government agencies to be on the highest alert and not to take vacations during a six week period over the summer, and how John Ashcroft, was ordered to take government jets instead of commercial airlines (<- not "liberal lies" but fact)

You will learn more details of report leaked to CBS News on May 15, 2002, that the CIA briefed George W. Bush about bin Laden network plans to hijack airplanes on August 6, when he was vacationing in his ranch in Texas. (<- not "liberal lie" but fact)

Clarke's book will probably touch on how the Bush administration initially blocked ongoing U.S. government investigations of terrorism, while bargaining with the Taliban over oil rights and an Afganastan pipeline construction deal right up until the September 11 tragedy, despite warnings from FBI deputy director, John O'Neill who - as well, resigned due to this matter.

Summary: Support Our Troops - don't buy this book
Review: Our troops fight to protect our great nation from fundamentalist zealots just like this.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Entertainers entertain.
Review: This book can be entertaining if you don't examine the points being made too closely. This is about entertaining, not providing fact based news. Hannity likes to make his views popular not by providing truth, but by repeated them as if they were fact. Occasionally he is right on.
