Summary: I'm half way through and it will probably reach 5 stars by t
Review: I listen to Sean every day on 1210 AM radio in Philly. That alone would have gotten me to purchase a copy. I have a bad habit of not reading/ or finishing books that I order. Especially those with a political basis.
Well, I picked this book up last night and completed nearly half of it before I fell asleep. I can't wait to finish it tonight. I never knew Hannity was so deep in his thinking. Sean is younger than I so I assumed he would be writing from his experiance in life. WRONG! He has researched this book well and it reads with the ease of a work of fiction, toough it isn't, I know, I lived through much of it. (Born 1949) So, before you talk about our country's future and the next election, this book is a MUST READ! You owe it to Yourself, God and Country. Happy reading

Summary: Polarizing
Review: I just paged down the prior reviews and found more than 95% of the reviews were polarized, either one star, or five stars.

Very few reviews are in the middle.

What is it about Sean Hannity that causes such love and hate?

And, is a person in the mass media that attracts such extremes of feelings healthy for our society?

How can there be peace if we only have polarized feelings about each other?

Summary: Democrats Wake Up!
Review: First, let me state that I am not a Conservative. I'm a registered Independent who thinks both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are only cosmetically different. And although I support a lot of so-called liberal stuff, I find the Democrats to be totally clueless when it comes to national security and fiscal responsibility.

We all know how the media continues to use the words "conservative," or "right wing," etc, but they never use the words "left wing" or "liberal" to describe the politicians or pundits they support. They only like to stereotype Republicans.

Democrats should be reminded that it was naive Jimmy Carter who set the stage for the rise of Islamic Fundamentalism by caving in to the terrorists who captured our embassy in Iran. And it was Jimmy Carter who turned over the Panama Canal to the Chinese.
And it was Jimmy Carter who gave us 22% inflation. Carter was the worst president of the 20th Century, yet, he represents an infantile and naive view held by many Democrats. In reality, he should have been a preacher and not a politician.

And we should never forget that it was Lyndon Johnson who gave us Vietnam, although many school children believe Vietnam was Nixon's war. And it was Bill Clinton who, while playing golf one day, was alerted to the fact that we had a chance to capture Bin Laden. But he didn't respond in time. His game was more important.

Of course, much of Hannity's comments are simplistic and redundant, but at least we should be open to discussing them, rather than demonizing him and dismissing him as just another "right wing nut."

That's the kind of rhetoric spewed by those sensitive and self-righteous liberals Franken and Moore. Let them wallow in their contempt. It's their style.

Summary: Typical Liberal Response
Review: Isn't it interesting how liberals immediately become defensive when someone decides to expose them for what they are...Anti-Americans. Yeah, I said it. Just like you call us "right-wingers" and the "Christian Right." It's not enough that Conservatives have to be bombarded on a daily basis with slanderous attacks and liberal rhetoric from 99% of our media outlets. It's time we stopped taking it on the chin and fight back. I applaude Sean Hannity for his courage to uncover the (blantant and obvious) double standard that exists in this country. He's a great American. Oh, and he's #1 on the NY Times list! Ouch, did you feel that shot? Believe me, it will keep getting worse. Why don't you liberals just throw in the towl and save yourselves the unnecessary beating. You can't win. The truth will always prevail.

Summary: Even Conservatives Have to Cringe
Review: This book is so skewed right it makes Rush Limbaugh look like a Kennedy.

I just wish this guy would be honest about what his real agenda is: personal gain and ego gratification. His show is a joke and his obvious infatuation/obsession with Bill Clinton is disturbing.

I'm amazed that people actually buy this crap, it's so plainly obvious that Hannity is a hack. For instance, I'm not a fan of John Kerry, but he's been blabbing about a "possible affair" with an intern for weeks on his radio show. It turns out that there is absolutely no evidence of this, and that this unsubstantiated claim has caused a great amount of grief to the woman and her family. Imagine having people one the radio claiming something so sordid of you all over the radio without any facts. Of course, republicans have these dalliances all the time, but you never hear about them from Hannity. He's a shill, plain and simple.

Don't waste your money.

Summary: Selling and buying the product.
Review: What many of the readers of this book will fail to realize is that Mr. Hannity is selling a product. In the past several years the bashing of liberalism and the flag waving of conservatism has become a multi-million dollar industry. And everyone from Hannity to Rush to Drudge have made millions. Is that wrong? No, it's commercialism. Are the basis of their ideas wrong? Not necessarily. Their is some fact in what they begin with, but it is clearly over hyped and marketed and turned into bite-sized, candy, wrapped in commercialism that offers little substance to the reality of politics and diplomacy in America and the world. The real concern is how many people take this creative work as fact or as a guide to real American politics. Hannity's work may be as entertaining to you as watching professional wrestling. It's a fantastic stage show but reality greets you at the door.

Summary: Please stop throwing bombs and be specific!
Review: After reading the many negative reviews of this book, I wonder: Why did these people read this book? Most of them obviously don't like Sean and fully expected to hate this book. Now, assuming they actually read it, I further wonder: Who has time to read a book you know you're going to hate? I didn't read Living History, Lies and The Lying Liars, Bushwhacked, Dude, Where's my Country, etc. Why would I? They would only make me mad (and likely nauseous). Opposition Research is hardly a reason unless you're a professional of some kind. I get enough "know thy enemy" by watching CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC. I have great doubts about many of these reviews. So many "ITS ALL LIES" comments. The first 3 review up at the moment all gave one star and had the words "lies", "non factual" and "sad and pathetic", respectively. First off, I'd appreciate a bit more than drive-by bomb throwing. Its easy to say: Prove it. Bring up an obvious example since all the one star reviewers seem to think the entire book is filled with "lies". Are you sure you're not confusing "lies" with "difference of opinion"? Anyway, I just finished the book, came here to review it and have found the vitriol level amazingly high. Again, I don't understand why anyone would drop $25 and however long it takes to read on a book they know they're going to hate. I frankly don't believe most of the one star readers actually read it. I'd like some hardback First Edition page and paragraph references pointing out all the "lies". Otherwise, just go pump up Franken's or Moore's fine pieces of "literature".

On a positive note, I found Sean's book to be an easy read with some stimulating perspectives. If you like Sean, you'll love this book. If you hate Sean, you'll hate this book. If you're undecided, maybe its time to read the book and make up your own mind. Don't let the "left" scare you off. Fear of the "right" is about all they've got left. Do you own research into his assertions. Make up your own mind. We are in the middle of a cultural war and we will either remain the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave" or become "France"... The choice is yours.

Summary: Face Value: politics as Usual
Review: To take this book as a serious analysis of historical events would be a mistake by all. This Book, written by one of the nations leading right-wing Pundits is a political attack piece. The intentions of this book are to secure the voting base of the author's political party. The Author uses the overwhelming theme of Fear and Terrorism to paint his political adversaries as "detrimental to US national Security".

Sean Hannity is a self-admitted compassionate conservative. His Radio and TV Show speak to the political right. He uses His show to keep peoples political views Swayed towards the right. This book is no different. The Purpose of this book is pure and simply, Political. There is basis for truth and many arguments that are presented within, yet a lot of information supporting opposing arguments, no matter the strength, is left out. Political Half-truths fill the pages. The reader is left with either two feeling after reading this Book. Democrats are evil or Sean Hannity is a master propagator. I choose the Second. To argue that those that disagree with your opinions are wrong is one thing; to paint those who disagree with your opinions and beliefs as treasonous is dangerous. Opposing political beliefs are good for a democracy. If Sean hannity chooses to goebelesque tactics as painting your political enemy as enemies of the state, It goes to show the weakness of their political arguments as a whole. Stick to the issues rather than persuading your readers to follow you blindly.

I also find it interesting that a Christian man such as Sean would generalize and judge and entire class of people solely because of their political belief. It isn't Sean's job to judge. Remember that it's his job to convince you to vote republican.

Take this Book at face Value. Its nothing more that a 30 second political ad. Republicans Good, Democrats Bad. Rince and repeat.

Summary: Stop Whining
Review: If you didn't read the book, don't just log on and give it one star just because you are a liberal college proffesor with a plaid sport coat, tennis shoes, a beard and round-rimmed glasses ... instead, get a life. You knew what the book was going to be about when you "read" it, so why act appalled and surprised that it contained conservative views? The point is, no matter what Sean Hannity were to write, no matter how accurate and logical, liberals such as yourselves would always give him one star. You should grow up.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: All the one star ratings won't change the truth!
Review: Hannity hits another grand slam with this great book. He is doing a great job for America.

Sean, if you read this, thank you and keep fighting the good fight.
