Summary: Just Like An Ostrich
Review: We as consumers neglect our financial obligations for immediate satisfaction. In doing so, we create for ourselves a pit of financial instability and doom. In reading Dave Ramseys book it became all too clear that people do in fact know these basic principles that will keep them out of debt yet we willingly choose to ignore these principles for immediate satisfaction. We as consumers hide our heads in the sand hoping that our financial problems will all go away. Dave Ramsey did an excellent job and probably made a fortune telling us what we already know: stay out of debt, don't get overextended, don't use credit cards, pay cash for items, buy-don't lease etc etc etc etc.....At least someone made money from this book, Dave Ramsey!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Forget the get-rich quick schemes.
Review: Dave tells it like it is... the only way to get rich quickly is to get rich slowly. Give up debt forever, don't buy what you can't pay for, and most of all BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE! An excellent book with common sense advice.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Everyone should read!
Review: Everyone should read this book. I only wish I had this when I was young and just starting out. If I did I would have much more peace in my life then I do now.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Every graduate should have a copy.
Review: I received the book as a college graduation gift. This book should be apart of any financial management curriculum. It shows the basics of managing your money before it manages you. And how to get out of a endless circle of debt.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Next to the Bible, best book ever published.
Review: Being 48 years old and living from paycheck to paycheck, this book has been a life saver for me. I know now that within 18 months, I will be debt free. Thanks for your book and tapes.

Summary: Common sense of how to get out of debt
Review: This book is a wonderful tool to go through simple steps of how to get out of debt. My husband and I had only been married a short time when we read this book. We now work together and communicate about our finances, rather than argue about them. I am a saver and he is a spender. This helped us to understand each other and to respect each other's ideas. We utilize the envelope system and we review our budget monthly to measure our progress. We do not have credit cards, which is the best thing we have every done. It has also enriched our Christian life, reminding us to tithe and that all blessings come from God.

Summary: If you are trying to get out of debt, this is how you do it.
Review: The author sent this book to me for free, so I thought I would take the time to read it. Well I read the first 10 chapters in one afternoon. It was everything I had already learned the hardway. I have been debt-free since 1990, I wish I had this book 10 years ago. I have since recommended this book to all my friends and family, I urge them to pass it along to their children. Simply put, if you are in debt and want to gain control of your finances, and be financially secure (it feels G-R-E-A-T) then buy this book and do EVERYTHING Dave says. This book shows you how to make and keep a budget. A BUDGET is the only way to succeed not only in getting out of debt, but becoming financially secure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Get the GOOD feeling (GOOD = Get Out Of Debt)
Review: If our highschool students read this as a requirement before graduating, maybe this country would see a turn-around in its financial status. America is broke today. This book shows you how to apply common sense to your dollars and cents and make yourself a minority in America. A minority of being "debt free" Dave had it all and lost it all. He has now regained his losses, but he is debt free and tells you how you can do the same.

Summary: A Financial Awakening Due To Underlying Spiritual Truths
Review: Finally, Mr. Ramsey has brought to public attention what has been lacking in the world of finances for years, a spiritual approach. Along with Christian author and financial counselor Larry Burkett, Mr. Ramsey has given us a hope of financial peace that stems directly from God. His insights tell us that the only way out of financial bondage is based on principles that have been around for thousands of years, found only in the Bible. With a dedicated heart, and prayerful consideration, his morally sound plan can lead us into lifelong financial blessings.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must for any family who wants to get out of debt for good.
Review: Dave Ramsey gives you advice that will last for a lifetime. The book is easy to read and understand. I wish they would require this book for anyone considering marriage.
