Summary: VERY INSPIRING!! YOU SHOULD READ
Review: This book is very inspiring and it doesn't make much to follow the steps given to you. I am know paying over 20,000 in debt just in credit card debt. This plan is absolutely the best thing in the world. And if you are not in debt it still helps you to put into perspective the things you need to do to make sure you stay debt free and provide for your family. If you would like to be able to buy a new car and pay cash. Do you want to depend on our so called social security to take care of you? This book tells you how much you need and how to do all you need to do to take care of yourself. Also you can become a Financial Peace University Coordinator which is life changing. You can help others get out of debt for free. It costs you nothing. I am telling you that this is the very best book for financial planning not just getting out of debt but staying out of debt. You can do it! FAIL TO PLAN AND YOU PLAN TO FAIL. ...

Summary: Get out of debt!!!
Review: My dad gave me the book Financial Peace when I graduated from college. This book has changed my life! I am not as dedicated to debt as Dave Ramsey, however, I feel that I am on my way to debt free living. What a great feeling!!! Dave's book has many great suggestions for people who may be struggling with debt or just want to learn money management. I was very impressed with this book and I would strongly recommend it to anyone. Financial Peace makes a great graduation gift!

Summary: Good book, but missing an important part
Review: I just finished reading this book, and I can't stop thinking about it. Ramsey has taught me much about money, financing, insurance, and so on. I like the fact that it is written from a Christian viewpoint without hitting me over the head every page like a hellfire-and-brimstone preacher. Ramsey's writing style is VERY easy to read, even if (like me) you don't enjoy reading books like this. This book helped me to realize that I am far from alone in the financial errors I've made, and that chances are that there are many, many people who have dug themselves into the same hole I have, if not even a deeper one. It also gave me some good ideas about what I need to accomplish in order to get my finances in order.

But, what this book does NOT do is spend much time telling you HOW to accomlish these things. It does briefly explain the "snowball" method of paying off debts, and the last chapter is a series of steps that you should go through. But these steps are strictly big-picture: Step 1: build up $1000 in savings; Step 2: pay off debts; Step 3: build up Emergency funds; etc. For many of us, the question is, how/where do I start? And how CAN I start these steps with the problems I'm having right now? This book doesn't do a good job of giving nitty-gritty details on where to begin, or how to do this day-to-day. You should probably buy a second book, to be used along with this one, which is a workbook that teaches you the process step by step (maybe the "Financial Peace Planner" does that -- don't know).

But this is a very easy-to-read, eye-opening book that will teach you a lot and really inspire you to get to work on your finances. It's a great place to start.

Summary: Financial Peace by Dave Ramsey
Review: First of all Thank You to Mr. Ramsey for possibly saving myelf and my family from financial ruin. Written from a Christian perspective-What a blessing this book is! I first borrowed it from a friend and now I want my own copy and to give copies to every one I know. This book is so awesome and true. Mr. Ramsey speaks from his own experiences. It is obvious he isn't writing the book to make money but to help others. You must be willing to change your way of thinking and your spending habits though or his advice won't work. God Bless the Ramsey's for sharing all that they have been through.

Summary: What your money means to you!
Review: Truly inspired me to take a closer look at my future and my money. I wish I had read this book in high school. This book opens your eyes to the truth about "credit cards", "loans" and "cash". It is only for those, at any stage of life, who want to take control of their money. Highly recommended!

Summary: Life Changing
Review: This book has changed our home in a few short weeks. We are now on what we believe is a more secure path to the future by facing up to our debt and working to be debt free. Ramsey doesn't offer a quick-fix solution to financial difficulties, but it is a long-term one that can do exactly what the title says it will do -- provide you with peace of mind.

Summary: THE BEST OF WHAT'S OUT THERE
Review: I have ready numerous "Get out of Debt" books, and this one seems to make the most sense. It's got a great philosophy that you concentrate on your "cheapest" debt first and then make the minimum payments on the rest. As you pay the first one off, you transfer the money you were paying to creditor #1 to creditor #2 and it snowballs! I tried paying off my debts according to the largest interest rate, but I felt like I was getting no where! Dave Ramsey realizes this and helps you set realistic goals for yourself. I like the fact that he backs up his teachings with scripture (if that doesn't motivate, I don't know what will) and that his wife gives her condensed thoughts at the end of each chapter. I bought the planner too after I read the book and found it very helpful as well.

Summary: Financial Freedom Found
Review: Simple and straightfoward principles that help you help yourself. No magic bullet, or secrect formula but a tried and true method for getting your personal finances in order. We started about 1 year ago and have paid off $12,000 in debt.

Summary: CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!
Review: We applied the principles outlined in Dave's book and got out of $14,000 worth of debt in only 9 months. Dave Ramsey and this book have forever changed our lives for the better. We are debt free and on our way to retiring with more money than we ever dreamed possible. ANYONE can read this book and get out of debt AND STAY OUT OF DEBT! I can't say enough good things about Dave Ramsey and the book Financial Peace.
