Summary: A VERY AUSPICIOUS BEGINNING!
Review: Recently I watched a televised interview with world famous actor, Michael Caine praising Feng Shui methods of colors, and furniture arrangements, for the success of a restaurant he owns. Feng what? I thought. After reading this book, I now have a basic understanding of what it means. It is an ancient chinese systematic approach to creating harmony in your environment which somehow supports your health, career, and spiritual growth. I like the step by step explanations and directions. A very basic and auspicious beginning for those interested in exploring ways to transform their living space. Making the complex simple, is not so easy. The author has presented a fine guidebook.

Summary: I'm delighted that this book has been helping you.
Review: The purpose for writing Feng Shui Step by Step was to make the subject of feng shui as practicable as possible - a model of clarity. That was quite a challenge! But, as I can see, the attempt proved successful. All of the techniques in the book are traditional and scientifically based. The use of the astrological material makes it personal. In other words, the space you set up works for YOU. I wrote the book as if it were a letter to someone at a distance who wished to set up their house to support their well being in general. I must say, I learned a lot about writing a book from doing this.

I think my second book, Feng Shui Strategies for Business Success, reflects all that I learned about writing a book. If you enjoyed reading and working with Feng Shui Step by Step, you probably will enjoy Feng Shui Strategies for Business Success. The astrological material in Feng Shui Strategies, like Feng Shui Step by Step, comes from the 9 Star method, but, owing to the nature of the material in Feng Shui Strategies, it goes further and describes your birth, month and tendency star combination and gives yearly and monthly forecasts which I and others have found to be surprisingly to the point. There are a number of space planning techniques in Feng Shui Strategies for Business Success, not found in Feng Shui Step by Step, that you can apply to your home as well as your place of work.

My third book, The Feng Shui of Love, besides containing a couple of questionnaires that should prove a delight when filled out, uses a different Chinese astrological system than my first two books. The astrological system used in The Feng Shui of Love is called Ba Tzu, or the "Four Pillars" in English. The Four Pillars is famous for its twelve animal signs (rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig). The reason I chose to use this system is that it reveals an element, based on your day of birth, called your "relationship" element. This element is used for orienting your furniture specifically to attract and enhance love. Because of the nature of the Four Pillar method, The Feng Shui of Love describes sixty personality types and the way they all relate to each other. It also contains many effective and beautiful ways of arranging your home found in no other book. (There are, of course several overlaps with my other books, as feng shui is feng shui no matter how you slice it). I thoroughly enjoyed writing this book, and hope it makes a lot of people happy. Presently I am at work on a fourth book which will be announced in time.

Once again, I'm very happy that my work has been helpful to you. May all who use my books prosper and be well.

Summary: A lot better than other westernized books, but lacking
Review: This book is a good start for people, but the astrological charts are too simplified, since the Chinese New Year changes yearly. This book is easy to read, but if you really want to learn about traditional feng shui in depth, this is not the book.

Summary: Glad this lazy American stumbled across it.
Review: This book is awesome!! I have no idea what the disgruntled reader below would recommend - either pshyciatric treatment or flying someone in from China to do your house, I guess. I feel the author's command of Chinese really helped interpret Feng Shui in terms that Americans can both understand and immediately apply!! Rock On!!

Summary: Good beginner's book, especially for busy but curious folks.
Review: This is a good introduction to both the concepts and techniques of feng shui. While it does lack some of the background and detail of the meaning of feng shui, it gets you started quickly and guides you through the analysis of your space, so you can begin to experience the effects of being more aware of your surroundings and their influence on your daily existence. Good job!

Summary: The best and simplest explanation of and guide to feng shui
Review: This is the best book yet I've read about feng shui, and I have about five other books on this subject. The author explains everything so that any idiot can understand how to make their home more feng shui. So easy to understand now with straight forward steps that other books just don't give.
