Summary: god is at eye level
Review: If you keep photos on your refrigerator as pieces of beauty ontop of the mundane or if you find yourself wishing you had your camera when you see something that would, in a different light look ordinary, then you will appreciate Phillips use of photography. This is the encouragement to use your camera as an extension of your eye and ,with practice, an extension of your heart. _Practical exercises put dreamy descriptions to use at the conclusion of each chapter.

Summary: The Heart Strings Sing
Review: Jan Phillips helps us bring God to earth and into our interiors from where God springs eternal. She reinforces and gives courage to our belief that if we are only open to ourselves all creativity and life's significance emerges. She reminds us of the powerful and fundamental connection that we all have to oneanother and brings hope that we can make essential changes in ourselves and for those whom we touch.

Summary: Something I've always felt but didn't know how to say...
Review: Jan Phillips writes beautifully about honoring & celebrating people by photographing the relationship she shares with her models. I've recently turned to photographing friends' children during a difficult depression because of the life I see in them & it has indeed been a healing experience. This book is an amazing encouragement to all of us to share the way we see the world to heal ourselves & others. Fabulous!

Summary: Returning to My Journey
Review: Upon reading Jan Phillips latest effort, "God Is At Eye Level", I was called upon to examine where I stood on my journey. Husband, family, & career had taken the time & energies previously used for silent contemplation. Pursuits, especially my photography, had been pushed aside. Frankly, I was reacting to life's events. Jan's book helped me to reclaim the time spent examining this life. It moves you to stop, think, ponder & reflect. It will cause you to focus on the miracles of each day. Her ideas will instill in one the importance of surrounding oneself with those people and things that make you smile. In the process, her book will unlock the creativity that may have been pushed aside to attend to the more mundane aggravations of daily life.

Summary: God Is at Eye Level
Review: Whether you are a beginner photographer, more advanced or don't even own a camera, this book should be on your shelf. It is a way of looking at the world which makes it a so very personal experience. Her philosophy on creativity brings such a refreshing validation to each person's impact on the world. It really knocked me sideways. This will be a classic.
