Rating: Summary: Must buy for drafting professionals Review: After working for a year on AutoCAD LT 2002 our company has switched to AutoCAD LT 2004. We are generally into 2D drafting of manually created blue prints. After we switched over to the newer release the biggest problem we faced was the reference material that could help us to guide through the latest enhancements and changes. The training department has gone through a lot of books that are in the market. At last they found this textbook to be better for our kind of use. This textbook is fully upgraded to the latest release with a lot of examples. All the enhancement and new features are marked even in the table of contents that really helps in finding out the new features. All of us find it a good book with a lot of drafting related examples.
Rating: Summary: Well planned book Review: Hi!!! I generally do not review books, but I thought of reviewing this one because I really liked the way it has been layed out. The complete layout of this book is very well planned. It has one of the best blending of material for freshers as well as experienced users. The author of this book does not leave anything for the freshers to assume, making it really interesting book. Experienced users would find the examples and exercises in the 3D chapter really interesting. If you think you know all of LT, try the exercises of the 3D chapter, they are really interesting (especially the computer exercise).Overall, I am impressed with this book and recommend it to all the LT users.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful reference Review: I find this LT book very friendly and convenient to use. Its content is indeed broader (a plus!) than other related books. This book contains lot of information as it goes through a detail description of exercises that can be performed to accomplish anything you want LT to do. I strongly recommend this publication to a novice or an existing LT user.
Rating: Summary: Exciting book to work with Review: Sham knows what it takes to write a good comprehensive textbook. I have been using his LT books for last 3 releases and I really like the way he explains every topic in the book. I am mostly impressed with the new features he has added to this LT 2004 book. I would also like to specially point toward the viewports chapter in the book. It is nicely done and the explanation of each topic is great. He has added quite a few architectural exercises in first few chapters that are good. As you read through this book, you will find that you have improved your working speed dramatically. So go ahead and buy it if you need to learn LT 2004.
