Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Recommended to all ProE users!!! Review: I visited amazon.com for the Wildfire book. There are so many books on this CAD software but the one I chose is this book by Sham Tickoo. The only reason I chose Sham's book was looking at the Table of Contents. Now after finishing with the book I think I made the right choice. This book covers all the major portions of Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire. The language is easy to understand. Good work on Surface modeling chapter that I downloaded for free from the author's website www.cadcim.com. Buy this book if you want to learn Wildfire.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very helpful book Review: Just like most of the other design companies, our company is also going thru a financial crunch. So when we upgraded our facilities to Wildfire, the company did not want to spend money on sending us for training on Wildfire. We were given this book and were asked to update ourselves to Wildfire. I must confess that although we had working knowledge of Pro/E, but this book helped us a great deal in updating ourselves to Wildfire. Most of the people in our modeling team went thru each and every tutorial of this book and we now are ready to face any modeling challenge. If not all, but the major credit of this goes to this book. We recommend this book to everyone who is looking to update himself to Wildfire or to learn it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Much more than a good book Review: Once I began this extraordinary book, I could not put it down. "Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire for Designers" is so much more than a gripping learning textbook. With his impeccable research, the author introduces us to aspects of designing. I, for one, had never known existed...or even thought about. I found myself, unwillingly, leaving the book, and time and time again, going online to view his website- only to find a new world of tips and techniques opening up for me. What a trip! What a read! The book, take us through Feature creation commands, editing commands and far back to even sketching. We learn about the secrets of design intent. The writing is excellent. Just learn it from first chapter to last and enjoy the world of product designing using Pro/E!

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Pre-publication Review Missing Review: Spelling errors, bad grammar, incorrect facts, diagrams not consistent with text. Page xiv tells the reader that you will be learning Autodesk Inventor. Ignoring this, the book may have a lot to offer, but the author should have had an english speaking person review the material.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Terrible index Review: Terrible index and wordy. Good tutorial, but not good as a reference book.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Good book, but verbose Review: The book is good, both for an experienced user migrating to Wildfire and a newbie. The author teaches the software on a step by step basis, followed by a thorough tutorial at the end of the chapters. The tutorials are useful, might as well skip the preceding sections and jump right at these to learn the software. The book has one downside though, the author is very verbose, indicating even in the last chapter to "Click the right mouse button...", the book could've easily been 75 to 100 pages shorter. The chapter on Surface Modeling is available for download from the publisher's website and it measures up to the rest of the book. Overall, a good buy if you are new to Pro/E Wildfire.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Good for Advance Users Review: The book's back cover says that step-by-step instructions are given in the book to complete a tutorial- I agree. Commands and feature creation tools are discussed artfully, leaving more room for an exploration of concepts and practices - meaning that someone new to Solid Modeling will understand not only what to do but the best way to do it. Highly recommended for people ready to learn how to design products.
