Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent Book! Review: Excellent Book! Worth every penny. I used only this, and the PMBOK to study. You do have to know the Exam Prep book inside out .. don't focus TOO much on the PMBOK. The Exam Prep book points you to the important processes in the PMBOK.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Well worth the price Review: I just passed the PMP exam and it was largely due to the materials in this book. This book provides insight regarding the hot topics to know for the exam, what areas of the PMBOK are more important than others, tips and techniques for taking the exam and provides good supplementary information that you won't find in the PMBOK but is important to passing the test. I used this book along with the PMBOK and a few of the ESI materials and I feel the combination helped me pass the test on my first try. I highly recommend this book if you are trying to study for the test on your own (i.e. not taking any seminars or PMI work groups)...this really helps focus your attention on the major components of the test and gives you some insight about the test structure.

It will provide the structure, information and insight that you will need to prepare for this complex exam. This book both compliments, and summarizes, PMBOK into an easy to follow study plan.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I passed the test because of this book!! Review: I passed the PMP exam in March, 2001 after using this book, and the PMBOK. I followed the study guidelines exactly as laid out in the book. The test is somewhat more difficult than the tests in the book, and of course, there are the trick questions, but you will go in a lot more confident if you can study the way Rita recommends. This books points out "PMI-isms" to watch for, and that helped me a lot. I only studied about 50 hours for the exam over the course of one month. I did no other reading than this book and the PMBOK. I have been a project manager for about 6 years and I had to make sure I didn't let my real life experiences and other training I had previously cloud my thinking as I studied - another thing this books warns you about. I recommend this book very highly if you want to pass the PMP exam.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Really helped me to pass PMP exam! Review: This book and the PMBOK were the core of my study materials - and I passed with >85% correct. I am recommending this book to all my colleagues as they prepare for the exam. Play the games, do the exercises and take he study questions as suggested ... it works! There were at least 2 questions that were essentially exactly from this book and most of them followed the format although they were cast in a scenario. The hints on 'what to expect' were also helpful - check the site out before exam date, bring layers to wear (or sit on), bring food and water to keep just outside the exam room so you don't go hungry or thirsty.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Pass the PMP with Rita Review: Attended Rita's PMP Prep Class. This class was great. The book is one of the major tools to passing the PMP exam. I already went through 200 hours of formal training, but it was Rita's class, book and CD that got me through the exam. Studied about 30 hours, with the book and Exam question CD and pass with a 161/200. Could not have done it without Rita's book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Pass the exam! Review: PMP Exam Prem helped me pass the PMP exam AND provided sound project management concepts that I'm using daily to lead a global program. The book and the companion CD really focus on tested material. Fopllow the author's recommendation to review each section three times and you'll be ready to pass the exam.I also tried another exam review program but found this one better organized and more focused.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A "must have book" for those preparing for the PMP Exam Review: This book is a "Must Have" if you intend on getting through the PMP exam. Rita's consise "to the point" writing skills and the exercise portions of the book make it understandable and right on target with the information you will need to pass the exam on the first attempt. I used this book to cram for the test and found it was the most useful tool in my library of Project Management titles. The sample exam questions given with each chapter are written in such a way as to challenge you, just as the test questions will be challenging you. I used the exam questions portion over and over to increase my knowledge of areas that I was unsure of. Rita's book also gives you the links to subject areas in the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge)so that if you are unsure of your understanding of the subject, you have another source to gather needed information. The great part about this book is that you can use its everday examples and exercises with your project teams to help them understand the principals behind sound Project Management Methodology. Thanks Rita...I Passed the PMP on my first attempt!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: PMP Exam Prep - a MUST USE resource for PMP Exam Review: This text is unequivocally a must read if you are planning to take the PMP exam. Of particularly value is the strategy described for studying for, understanding the exam and getting in "exam mode". With little time to continually study, I used this text to cut to the chase and focus on harnessing experience, knowledge and the perspective of PMI. The interpretations of formulae and real world applications are invaluable! After taking the exam, I looked at the sources I used and can say that this book came the absolute closest to PMI's perspective on the exam. FIVE STARS!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I Passed With The Book! Review: I took Rita's course, which came with the book. I then went through the book three times and went to the PMBOK for clarification as needed. The book may be a little difficult without the course since it isn't written like a text book. Without the course first it would take some getting used to, but as study material after the course it is priceless!!!!! It is pretty much bullet form and hits everything you need for the exam. Follow Rita's program and you will pass!
