Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Author of MATERNAL MEANDERINGS says,"This is fabulous fun!" Review: How absolutely fantastic to have these wonderful slice-of-life, anecdotal parenting experiences edited so beautifully into a book that even has an exquisitely designed front cover. Adding to the entertainment that this comprehensive humor package provides is the fact that proceeds from the sale of each book will go to breast cancer research. Humor that delivers AND a social conscience. Now THAT'S good stuff. Forget those "how to" parenting books and come on over to the funny side with MISADVENTURES OF MOMS and DISASTERS OF DADS. It'll be the only regret you'll never have!

Review: My children are 5, 4 and 2 and I can relate to many of the hysterical stories in this great book. I bought this book for myself because I thought it would be fun to read about adventures (misadventures) of other parents. When I got the book, I thought that it would make a great baby shower gift, too. Share this book with anyone who loves children - they'll thank you for it!

Children are, indeed, a gift from God but the reality of their being in one's life is something else all together. This book gives prospective parents a sneak preview of what their lives are about to become when a child becomes part of it. The misadventures and disasters make you smile in spite of the serious nature of some of them. I couldn't put the book down once I started. The stories are written by everyday Moms and Dads. I was amazed that most of them had more than one child. None were discouraged with whatever story they were telling. They just wanted prospective parents to be aware of some of the possibilities that will more than likely arise when a child enters your life. Can't wait for the sequel!
