Rating: Summary: Excellent for trauma survivors working with their parts! Review: This book offers a different look at multiplicity and adults healing from severe childhood abuse. I believe this book could be valuable to many abuse survivors trying to understand the different parts of themselves that interfere with their healing, daily functioning, and obtaining success and happiness in their lives. Many abuse survivors talk about being scared to address their different parts for fear that they will be labled MPD or that they will develop MPD. I think this book is definitely for them! And not just for those who are MPD/DID. The book is easy to read and follow - not just for the professionals. Some of the topics are going to be common sense things like issues with trust, abuse, relationship with therapist, etc. But I found the section on therapist parts extremely helpful in looking at and trying to allow my therapist to be more human. I have talked to other multiples who have a hard time with the idea of integration as I do. This book offers an alternative to integration and provides a good explanation why integration is exactly the opposite of a natural healthy mind. Good Luck and Good Reading.
