Rating: Summary: The Perfect Parents Handbook Review: I have to say as a school principal in Greenwich Village NY that I had more than a few chuckles while reading this wonderfully funny book about parenting. Parenting is a serious business, but we will only do it well if we can laugh at ourselves and this book will make you laugh.
Rating: Summary: The Perfect Parents Handbook Review: I loved the Perfect Parents Handbook. It was hysterically funny; so funny, in fact, that every one I know is getting one for Christmas. Jennifer Conlin has a very good take on the whole parenting scene and there is nothing else like this book on the market. One of my favorite parts of the book is when she describes the way different parents approach a trip to Disney World. The photos and graphics throughout are also very funny. Every parent should read this book.
Rating: Summary: So funny because it's all true Review: This book is a pleasure to read. The humor is laugh-out-loud funny. You will recognize the parents at preschool pick-up, your child's soccer coach, the book fair organizer, and even (gasp) yourself. It feels so good to laugh off the stress of parenting in these high-pressure times. Well done!!!
Rating: Summary: Hilarious and insightful book!!! Couldn't put it down. Review: This book is one of those rare pleasures-- it is an intelligent AND hilarious look at modern parenting. The book is totally original-- it goes way beyond cliches about our hyper-parenting culture, as it looks at the subtleties of different breeds of parents. It would appeal to anyone who wants a good laugh about modern foibles, as well as to anyone who has ever been, or known, a parent. And it is a page-turner-- just when you think you must have read all the best parts, you go on to the next section and laugh all over again! I also like the fact that in spite of all its incisive humor, in the end it is positive and reassuring.
A fabulous gift, and at this price, a smart stocking-stuffer!
