Review: I cried and cried. My mom died because her boyfriend beat her to death. This book shows you what can happen, and sometimes does. Every woman in an abusive relationship needs to read this book and get help before it is too late. Believe me...your kids will suffer. I miss my mom everyday and wish that I could talk with her. I recently gave birth to my fist child and wish my mom was here to advise me and share this happy time.

Review: I liked this book very much. I am a social worker and found it very helpful for me to get a better understanding of this situation. I will also apply some of these stories to the people that I deal with. I am going to buy another copy for the office so that we can add this to our lending library!!

Review: I read Domestic Abuse Our Stories and was quite moved by the many stories in this book. I checked out on the computer and her next book Murder in new england and closing the circle is coming out in January! I can't wait to read the next one!!!Wonderful writer!

Review: I read the reviews on this book and was intrigued. After buying it online I was satisfied with my purchase. This book was a godsend. I read it twice and just can't get enough of these stories. I am going to recommend it to my women's reading group. We are always looking for GOOD books to read and review. This is a VERY GOOD book.

Summary: Extremely helpful book
Review: I read this book and was very surprised by how much it moved me. I openly cried while reading some of them and most of the others brought tears to my eyes. My husbnd was concerned about the effect that this book had on me. Two years ago I lost my only daughter to her abusive husband. He murdered her while her landlord stood there watching, I guess that is unfair, the landlord was screaming for help. My daughter was stabbed to death in front of her son, who lives with us now. My grandson asks about his mother and I a going to keep this book for him to read when he gets older and then maybe he can understand what his mother went through a little better. My grandson is six years old and watched his mother die when he was five. We are still going through the court system, one delay after another. Hopefully it will be resolved soon and I can only pray that her husband will be put away so that he can never hurt anyone else. These stories were hard for me to read, but I am so glad that I did. I felt closer to my daughter and I felt like I could understand her situation a little better because of this book.
I hope the author writes another one because I will definitley buy it.
Wonderful book, Great writing, Lots of research and right on the mark.

Review: I truly enjoyed this book and as a counselr also I have to disagree with the "other counselor." I found these stories to be very real and believable. I will and have recommended this book. If they were written by a seventeen year old, let me just say, it is a very intellegent seventeen year old who has done a lot of research on this topic. I have dealt with many abused women and know for a fact that these storeis do happen and are in no way extreme. I beleive these stories were meant to make women aware of what can happen and that they need to seek help. I will continue to recommend this book. Thanks to the author.

Review: I work in an emergency room and happened to see a woman reading this book in the waiting room. I asked her about it and got a very positive response. I received my copy last week and must say the I found these stories to be accurate in many ways. Thankfully most of the women who come through are doors are bruised or have black eyes and broken bones. I think that the author took the most extreme cases to show the extent as to what can and unfortunately does happen to many women. I will recommend it to the battered women who come through our ER. I liked the book very much and can tell a lot of time, research and effort went into this. I have read these other reviews and must say that some of these "reviewers" sound like scorned little children, perhaps unsuccessful writers?
This book is a wonderful resource and I encourage any woman in an abusive relationship to seek help or get away from thier abuser.
I will pass along my copy to the library in our hospital.
To the author, thanks. There needs to be many more books like yours on shelves and available to our women!
