Summary: The Perfect Divorce:
Review: A wonderful and helpful book!!I found that Cheri was right to the point on how to work the dissolution of a marriage in a way that keeps children in first priority. She goes past all the emotional garbage that comes from a divorce and gets right to business This book helped to save me the financial burden of attorney fee's by getting past anger/hurt/jealousy of another woman and dealing with the business end of the my divorce, which in time ALL divorces must arrive there, but usually it is only after letting attorney's battling it out at the expense of the client. She give clear step by step instructions to take care of the divorce, and I encourage anyone going through this turning point in their life to read this before wasting thousands of dollars on attorney's fees. Her experience is a real gift to those of us who are now faced with this difficult time.

Summary: Learn not to lose control to negative emotions
Review: In The Perfect Divorce, author and divorce expert Cheri Arterburn draws upon her own experience as a divorced wife and mother, who had to deal with the realities of navigating the American legal system, her own emotional turmoil, and the responsibilities to her children when undergoing her own divorce. But In The Perfect Divorce is not just a personal story; in fact, the personal details of the author's divorce are kept brief in favor of emphasis on how to protect one's children, make a good example for them, keep things civil with one's ex, guard one's own interests, and above all, learn not to lose control to negative emotions concerning one's ex, especially in front of one's own children or in any social setting. Some of the author's most eye-opening warnings include the absolute importance of choosing an honest and competent lawyer - one of her first choices was actually paid off by her ex to lobby for his interests, not hers, and billed her an extra $30,000 when she fired him! - and the significance of refusing to sign divorce papers until a settlement is reached, since once the papers are signed the incentive to conclude the settlement diminishes and the process can drag on for years. Perhaps the most crucial warning lies in the fact that once two people have children, they are bound together for life, as both will always have duties and responsibilities to the children... and as a result, even if they divorce, they must learn how to get along with one another, especially in front of the kids. Highly recommended.

Summary: SPIRITUALL ENLIGHTENED
Review: The Perfect Divorce was a LIFESAVER for me. The author through her own experience allowed me to get outside of myself and focus on the things that are truley important i.e. (the children) as well as my peace of mind. I am eternally grateful for the messeges shared by the author. One of the most significant messeges I got from this book is that it does absolutely no good to hang onto the resentment and anger that comes from divorce. I realized that at some point I had to let go of these handicapping emotions so I could get on with the business of LIFE. The Perfect Divorce taught me that emotional obstacles in divorce that were too large for me to handle needed to be turned over to GOD. Thank You Cheri Arterburn
