The program works because it builds upon the five sequential components of healthy self-esteem. I've implemented this curriculum in both an inner-city and a more rural setting--with success. Dr. Borba offers such endless ideas for all ages. This curriculum is easy to integrate into the school day, and it encourages school-wide participation.
