Summary: BOTH HOPE AND ENCOURAGEMENT IN THIS READING
Review: Libby Gill has quite a story to tell. It's one of courage, strength and, perhaps most of all, hope. However, after having said that, she is not an actress. Her reading lacks the polish of an experienced stage or screen performer. But what it lacks in professional vocal rendering is made up for in the sincerity and urgency unmistakable in her delivery. At times, her voice is a bit tremulous, almost as if relating her past experiences is still painful for her. Further, her reading provides an intimacy, if you will, that might not be found in a performer.

Ms. Gill takes her title from a line by Robert Louis Stevenson: "To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive." This, it seems, is the crux of her belief. She tells the sad story of her past, years scarred by death, suicide, abuse, and lovelessness. She then recounts how rather than letting a past dictate how a person is today, one can honestly look at the past, leave it behind, and direct a life full of everything one wishes it to be.

Certainly, professionally Ms. Gill has proved this to be true as today she is a sought after communication consultant.

With a foreword written and read by Dr. Phil many will find comfort, instruction, and hope in Ms. Gill's book.

Summary: Don't forget to tag your bags!!!
Review: "Traveling Hopefully" is an inspiring self help book but it is also a great resource for general life management. My favorite tool is "Tagging Your Baggage" - turning the negative labels that have attached themselves to you, into positive ones. For years my family called me a "Motor Mouth" but with the help of "Traveling Hopefully" I now think of myself as a "Great Communicator." I highly recommend this book to anyone who aims to better understand themself and the world in which they live.

Review: An extraordinary book by an extraordinary woman, "Travelling Hopefully" inspires and educates, providing simple tools for the real people in the world to change their lives. It took courage to reveal her story, and even more courage to change her life. It made me feel "If she could do it, so can I". Don't miss this fascinating book which reads like a novel giving you life skills along the way.

Summary: Practical tools, plus stories from the heart
Review: Having read many self-help books and ultimately burned out on them, Travelling Hopefully was a pleasant surprise. The way that Libby tells her personal stories, and then goes into the steps she took - and we can take - to deal with similar issues, made me really connect with the author. Most writers are not as revealing, choosing to use stories from other anonymous people versus revealing their own dark secrets. Libby's stories are beautifully told and completely moving, and the solutions that she offers are real, and achievable. Travelling Hopefully is the best book that I've read in this arena.

Summary: I am being objective...it is a great book!
Review: Hi. I am one of the brothers mentioned in "Traveling Hopefully." Libby Gill is my sister, and I just want to say how proud I am of her. Libby has worked on herself so hard and so ceasingly, it is no wonder she has claimed greatness. "Traveling Hopefully," her second book, took a lot of guts and intestinal fortitude to write, and when one's work comes so obviously from the heart, it cannot help but accomplish amazing things. The book is well written and well thought out. Emotional pain is so common to so many of us. This book can make a difference. And that is just one reason I am so proud of my sister.

Summary: This Book Jump-started My New Business
Review: I was at a cross roads in my career and I picked up Libby Gill's book, hoping it would give me some direction. Boy, did it do that!

Libby's examples were so personal and relatable. I was able to figure out my passion, enact a plan of attack and form a support group to help me achieve my goals. Once I knew what I wanted and committed to it, everything fell into place. I launched a lifestyle and entertainment PR firm in New York City and I've never been happier. I was able to let go of lots of things the past had taught me and take a risk.

This was the first book that made everything seem tangible and the messages were clear and concise. I credit Libby Gill for showing me the path that lead to a new chapter in my life and the birth of a thriving new agency.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who needs clarity figuring out their life's passion and are brave enough to go for it.

Summary: From hopeful to JOYFUL!
Review: I'm a motivational book freak - and this one is at the top of my list! First of all, Libby's real life struggles read like a novel. Secondly, the tools she created to transcend her past are simply amazing! This book helps us identify our family legacies and turns negatives from our past into positives in our present. No blame, shame or guilt here - just a roadmap to creating a life full of joy and purpose. I was astonished at how effective Libby's tools are - and how quickly they return results. This book changed my life!!

Summary: I Really Needed This Book!
Review: Like the life of this author, my life was a series of abusive relationships. Starting as a child and on in to adulthood. My self worth was minimal. In recent months I have started to pull myself out from the grips, reading such books as "Nightmares Echo", "Courage To Heal" and "Why I'm Like This". After discovering the courage they had in writing their books. I wanted more. Reading every non fiction that pertained to my situation. "Traveling Hopeful", is like coming full circle. The author helps me to understand so much more about myself and what I am missing in life. I truly appreciate that. This is a fantastic inspiration.

Summary: An Inspiring and Exhilirating Journey
Review: Powerfully motivating, TRAVELING HOPEFULLY offers life-changing opportunities. Masterfully weaving events from her own life as illustration, Gill gives invaluable insights into how you can articulate your life's passions and then turn them into realities. With spirited and thoughtful concepts like "JumpStart," "Support Squad" and "Planning, Passion and Perseverance," Gill shows you how to make a life built by design, not default. And her 21 Hopeful Tools -- that are clearly and cogently offered up in the book -- show you just how to make it happen. But perhaps what sets its tone apart is Gill's revelatory and personal moments shared from a fractured family life growing up and professional upheaval working as a high-level executive for entertainment conglomerates. While TRAVELING HOPEFULLY is set up to be a hearty companion for a memorable, results-filled journey of your own, it also makes strikingly compelling reading.
