Summary: Hilarious and insightful!
Review: Lindy Batdorf crafts a laugh out loud masterpiece about parenthood. Best of all, Stop and Smell the Asphalt is as insightful as it is humorous. Lindy reminds us all to count our blessings and to truly enjoy the journey of parenthood (before it slips away). This would make a great gift to any parent (new, fatigued, or otherwise).

Summary: Had me howling!
Review: My sides still hurt!

If you like Erma Bombeck and Dave Barry, you're going to love this book! The author's insights and experiences into pregnancy, childbirth, the professional woman and the stay-at-home-mom create a cover-to-cover laugh-fest that is heart-warming, hilarious and surprisingly insightful.

Her adventures in direct sales had my wife, who promotes a national women's clothing line, in stitches (pardon the pun) and as for children's birthday parties, well...let's just say you'll never look at a clown the same way again!

I've been a long time fan of humor writers, and Lindy Batdorf's stuff rises right to the top, the only question I have is: when do we get a sequel?

If you're looking for a good, wholesome read and some old-fashioned belly laughs, this is the book for you!

Summary: Laugher On The Road To Reality!
Review: This book is not just for those who are parents! It is also for anyone who has ever been a child! I have been reading Lindy Batdorf's book and loving every minute of it. I can't seem to put it down! I find myself totally relating to the stories she tells about children and parents and the things we all went through just to grow up! So much of life's realities and precious moments are included in this book. It is a book that contains huge doses of the hope that we all need today. Hope that says it is ok when we fall down and get our knees scraped and our shins kicked from life, because there are moms, dads and special people waiting with open arms to love and help us get back up! Everyone needs to believe in that! It makes me appreciate my mom and all she went through just to raise me!

Summary: Wonderful book on parenting
Review: This lively and insightful book chronicles the ups and downs of parenting, from the breathless anticipation of "Are we pregnant?" to dealing with adolescents - retold with humor and candor, and sustained with faith.

Summary: Unforgettable Humor with Depth, Intelligence and Guts
Review: Words can't convey the gratitude I have for this book. I was one of those moms tempted to take my life as a parent for granted, wishing little mundane moments away. Lindy Batdorf's awesome book not only made me laugh outloud, but touched me deeply in many ways. She's right--sometimes, as a parent there just aren't any doggone roses to stop and sniff; sometimes, on this old rough highway called Parenting, there's just that smelly asphalt--but with the right attitude, even that asphalt can smell alright when we realize how wonderful the ride can be.
This book contains lifechanging treasure for any reader, because the truths are universal and will affect the way you see "little things" forever.
