Summary: A dry textbook- not meant for mothers.
Review: I bought this book searching for information on breastfeeding my premature infant. Most breastfeeding books only devote a paragraph, or at most a few pages, to this topic. I was excited to find a whole book on the topic, but sadly disappointed when it arrived, as the book is clearly meant as a textbook for NICU nurses. It provides information on topics in list form, referring to the patient and parents as third-party participants. It uses medical terms and offers very brief descriptions of techniques. I was looking for practical advice, but this wasn't it.
