Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Too General Review: I was disappointed in the content as it is very general in nature. It covers such topics climate, housing types, water quality, activities, taxes, crime, insurance, etc, but the lack of specifics left me wanting more. Much of this information could be applicable to anyone looking at relocating and purchasing property in almost any state.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Lacks Depth -- But only an introduction Review: I was really disappointed in this book. It is really an extended magazine article rather than a book. It would have made a very good introduction to the book I was really hoping to see. There were broad statements with no supporting specific information. And when, as the authors acknowledge, you have a state as varied as Florida is, you must have the details to figure out what each of the topics means in your geographic area(s) of interest in the state. For example, they discuss flood zones and then tell you to go look at a FEMA map to see the flood zones, rather than providing (a) at least a general map and/or (b) information on just how to obtain this map from FEMA. Unfortunately, this example is typical. There are very few pointers to help you to research a specific area(s) of the state in which you have an interest. Even if they cannot include maps or other hard area-specific data, they could at least give you web sites to visit for more details ... along with tips on how to best use the web sites. But even this sort of pointer is missing. As an introduction, interspersed with references to details in the rest of the book, this would be good. But it does not have those details. And as a book on its own -- without the details, it left me with far more questions than answers.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Cliff notes on moving Review: Once again proof that good things come in small packages, this book is a great guide to making critical choices. The book doesn't try to tell you what to do. But it does a super job of giving sound guidelines on how to approach everything from getting a driver's license to selecting a homesite. It's a practical book and well worth the investment.

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Beware of this book!! Review: Save your money. This book is so basic that it is worthless.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Don't waste your money Review: The information (or lack thereof) is so vague, you wonder if the authors even spent any time in Florida, any high school student could give you more useful information about Florida. Save your money, go to AAA, get their travel guide on Florida and you will get more useful and detailed information than in this book. I would give it less than one star if it was possible.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Helpful Tips About Florida ! Review: The Monners book was decidedly interesting in that it descibed how to and where to look for property and living areas in Florida -- if you followed their parameters and knew your own. It is a common-sense book that guides you through the thicket of Florida properties that could be treacherous for the unwary purchaser. The book is succinct and well written. I recommend it to anyone interested in purchasing or renting in Florida.
