Rating: Summary: Parents and Grandparents Review: In an election year, all politicians as well as parents should read this book. Although tremendous amounts of money is spent on programs for children, Soman, a social worker, maintains it is insufficient and misdirected. She points out that busy, working parents often do not have the necessary education to protect their children from the many perils that surround families today and that many of today's societal ills such as drug addiction and family breakdowns could be prevented if parents were more knowledgeable.
