Review: If one word could describe this book, I believe it would be 'profound.' I had planned to take my time reading this book in order to absorb the full message the author was intending to convey, but once I started reading it, I found it difficult to put down. Tattoos of the Heart is a powerful heart-rending story of a woman who had no self-esteem, jumping from one bad relationship into another as she sets out to self-destruct. However she never lets go of her faith in the power of the Almighty. It is easy to see how someone in the devastating situations she found herself in, and the struggles she endured, could have just given up. The amazing story is that she never gave in to the adversities and fought back with a strength she didn't even realize she had. She contributes that strength to prayer and the grace of God. I was overwhelmed by the willpower of this woman to survive. I believe that Tattoos of the Heart would be uplifting to anyone, but especially to those with low self-esteem who continually find themselves going from bad to worse. If you are looking for a book full of sunshine and flowers, this is not the book for you. But, if you want a book that will get you totally involved, breaking your heart from time to time, filling you with compassion and inspiration, and then ending on a beautiful uplifting note, then this book will fill the bill. Tattoos of the Heart is well written, entertaining, uplifting, and inspirational.
