Summary: No new ideas, just talk with you kid!
Review: I had hoped this book would have more information on actually talking about different subjects. Instead the first half simply deals with knowing what is happening in your childs classroom ie "what did you do today?" Second half has some "conversation starters", but nothing much beyond the what did you do today level. Get E.D. Hirsch "What every third grader should know" instead - much more "meat" and useful information on what your 3rd grader should be learning.
