Summary: Non- verbal can change a person's mind being
Review: As reading this inspiration book it really taught how miracles can occur with any circumstances. Dr. Richard D'Ambrosio had reached to a child that it is possible for a person to change their emotions. As he observes the child, which is Laura. He begins to absorb her actions by any physical or mental reactions. This child had suffered from a burden of darkness. She is trapped in a shell where she thinks she'll be safe and harmless. She had only one hope and trusted Dr. and he succeeded.
Dr. D'Ambrosio made it possible for people to believe that people can get back up and live a normal life. Laura had been suffocating from external abuse from her past. She has been traumatized from the pain that her parents had caused. This book is really inspiring to children that are having troubles with their parents. It can boost your confindence in yourself. I would highly recommend this book because it had showed me appearances doesn't matter but what's deep down inside is what counts.

Summary: Wonderful!!!!
Review: I loved this book!!! Probably the best book i have ever read. Just to know that a girl, that was abused as horrifyingly often as Laura, and still live a normal life with the help of others, is a true inspiration to us all! I recently suffered a shoulder operation, and this book put my disability into percpective to me. If Laura can overcome such an emotion, and physical abuse, surely I or anyone, could overcome pretty much anything. Even though I had to look up a lot of the technical words, it was all worthwhile. I recommend this book to everyone who has not already read it.

Summary: Memorable
Review: I read this book about 30 years ago and have never forgotten the authors name or the book title. The magnitude and scope of this story are so compelling that once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. I have heard of child abuse cases but Laura's abuse was horrific. Richard D'Ambrosio draws you in to Laura's world and you feel yourself urging her on, to trust him and to become part of our world. Her struggles and his untiring love and compassion are a lesson we should all take to heart.

Summary: Powerful, Eye Opening Book!
Review: I read this book when I was in the 10th grade in high school when a friend recommended it and then I checked it out of the school library and man was this a powerful book that was depressing and also inspirational and heartwarming. Prepare to have a box of facial tissues handy! A baby named Laura is abused by her alcoholic father, one morning he abuses her in such a horrible, shocking, brutal way that it leaves her so badly disfigured and also causes her to retreat into herself, she is placed in an orphanage. She is so traumatized by what happened to her and so withdrawn into herself and doesn't speak. Years later when a new doctor comes to the orphanage he trys to reach her and his care and concern for her is truly heartwarming! This book which is a true story is a real eye opener! I normally don't like to read sad books like this because they can be so depressing but this one really is powerful and opens up your eyes and your hearts. How can this book not affect you emotionally and make you cry?

Summary: WOW!!!
Review: It's incredibly difficult to find the exact words to describe how powerful I found this book. The devastating story about Laura made me realize that there is always hope in life. Beaten and abused as a child...and even put in a frying pan, people thought that Laura never stood a chance in life. However, Dr. D'Ambrosio proved them wrong. After 5 years of trying to reach out to this poor girl, he was finally rewarded when she decided to come out of her shell. An excellent story, and well worth the read... No Language But a Cry will take you on a journey through depression, schizophrenia, and abuse. But at the end, happiness will find its way to you. Read this!

Summary: A Book Everyone Should Read!
Review: This book is excellent and I agree with most of the reviews here and I can't imagine anyone thinking the first half of the book being boring, it totally sparked my interest from the beginning to the end and still has my interest sparked and I want to buy my own copy of this book and suggest it to family and friends who like to read books about people who have had to struggle with difficulties in their lives so I definitely think they should like this book. This book made me realize that any tough times I had in my life were never as bad as Laura's and it's truly an inspiration how she overcame her tramatic childhood. I recommend this book to everyone and as I don't own this book because I borrowed it I'm going to buy it suggest it to some friends and family to read and I will let them borrow it and when I get it back it is going on my bookcase and is going to be a keeper! PS: I am also thinking of maybe buying everyone their own No Language but a Cry book instead of just passing the one book around because this book is so good and such an inspiration that it would be so worth buying it for them.
