Review: I have read this book several times and find something new each time I read it. Dr. West provides insightful approaches to typical misbehaviors by children. He uses an Adlerian approach that is not too overwhelming for children and also allows them the personal power to make their own decisions. This book is also educational for parents on basic developmental theory.

I give this book to my clients with childrearing problems and I have heard countless times how much easier it is for them once they follow the guidelines and suggestions. I know this is an expensive book and sometimes it is very hard to find, but I think that for the price of an average video game, kids are worth it.
