Summary: Golden Guide to Educating One's Child
Review: A terrific guide to those awkward moments. An incredible help to us in rearing our little ones. The book is written with tremendous insight and care. A good, informative guide to helping a parent educate their child on many a difficult subject.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: What an excellent book!
Review: And what a shame it is currently out of print.

Leight covers all the big topics in raising sexually healthy children (as the title implies), and includes some information many might not think to include. Chapters are arranged by both age and major topic, and the table of contents provides a breakdown of the major points of each chapter (very helpful to quickly find what you're looking for). All of the obvious topics are addressed (early naming of the genitals, preschool sex-play, preteen curiosity about conception and birth, adolescent issues). Many not-so-obvious topics are addressed (identifying your own sexual values, gender roles starting at birth, the role of simple touching from infancy on). Leight provides numerous scenarios to illustrate each topic, and also helps parents to identify "Golden Opportunities" for teaching children.

A wonderful book, an easy read, and one of the very best I have seen for parents and children of all ages. If you can lay your hands on a copy, do!

Summary: This book has been my lifesafer
Review: I first read the book 3 years ago and have used the advise nonstop. I have searched for another copy because mine is so dog eared from use. I found it easy to read and so user friendly. The author knows her stuff and shares it with wisdom and a good sense of humor. It is not intimidating like other sex books related to kids. It helps you get a handle on what to say and do as you try your best to raise sexually healthy kids.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A must read for fathers and mothers
Review: This book was extremely helpful for me in educating my children. The writer successfully covers delicate and provacative topics and as a parent armed me with the right advice.
