Review: Why does the world need yet another pregnancy book? Because no guide exists that's like this one. This book is based on my personal and professional experience--as a mother of four, the author of the book Parenting Guide to Pregnancy and Childbirth, the former editor-in-chief of magazines for expectant and new parents, and the author of dozens of magazine articles as a contributing editor to Parenting, Baby Talk, and Woman's Day. I thought I'd seen the subject of having a baby covered from every angle. Yet most pregnancy guides skip these topics; most etiquette manuals cover only baby showers and name-giving. No single book seriously or thoroughly addresses where these two worlds overlap.

That's why I wrote Everything ELSE You Need to Know When You're Expecting. What's more, I was pregnant with my fourth child while I wrote it--that's why (I hope) it's chock-full of the very issues that expectant parents mull over themselves. I've also interviewed scores of experts (including the best experts of all--real parents in the trenches).
