Summary: American Red Cross Babysitting Handbook- SUPER!
Review: I have absolutely no agreement with 2 of the 3 reviews. I think it is way great! My babysitter has this book and the kit that is only sold to you if you take the BABYSITTER COURSE AT THE RED CROSS! I look through the book every time she comes. I think it's awesome! I recomend you call your local red cross and take the cours!

Summary: I didn't learn much...
Review: I recieved this book when I took the Red Cross Babysitting course and wasn't very impressed. I knew almost everything in there (because of common sense). There were a few things that I did learn, like what to do in specific emergency situations, but that's about it. Safety is a number one priority for me and, hopefully, all babysitters, but this just went overboard. Plus, I believe some of the information was inaccurrate and could actually put a child in danger. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for an experienced babysitter and only certain sections to brand new, young babysitters.

Summary: Don't waste your money!
Review: I'm sorry but this book would not make my list of recommendations. ... almost every babysitting book has basic First Aid information, but this book went WAY OVERBOARD!!! All it has basic babysitting tips and a lot of confusing First Aid. If you really want to learn First Aid and CPR take the class and then get some other books to remind you of what to do in an emergency. This book is not helpful!

Review: This book is a great guide for the person who is new to babysitting. It teaches the baby-sitter(young or old) how to safely carry their responsibilty of caring for children. I has wonderful pointers and tips that the skilled babysitter can use or the beginner.
